Douglass Holmes
Louis Kossuth Holmes
Are you related to Louis Kossuth Holmes? I have no record of who his father was. My mother told me that when she was researching family history, that my grandfather, Clyde Alexander Holmes (LK's son), did not know his grandfather's first name.

munson marriage
sorry I added Isabella #39641951 as wife of Isabella instead of David #39641882. Also is it possible that Lewis #45975149 and Rebecca #45975157 are David's parents. These are the names I have from the Munson Records papers and I have Lewis born 1795 and died 1882 and Rebecca born 1794 but no death date.
thanks

find-a-grave deletions - SAYLOR
Can you please DELETE the following 4 memorials that you have created:
Saylor, Dix W. (38671681)
Saylor, Kate E. (38671588)
Saylor, Solomon J. (38671522)
Saylor, Wilbur W. (38671397)

1. The Saylers are part of my extended family. Their family name is SAYLER with an E
- NOT Saylor with an O.

2. The headstone pictures you posted to your memorials read Sayler with an E (not Saylor).

3. I have several records from this family which clearly spell their name Sayler with an E.

My memorial pages for these same four people are as follows:
Sayler, Dix W. (69664955)
Sayler, Kate E. (69664920)
Sayler, Solomon J. (69664659)
Sayler, Wilbur W. (69664579)

Thank you for your help.

re bio info of Mary. T. Brown Tomlison
In the bio you had written that she was the widow and mother of Samuel J. Tomlinson, but the tombstone states it was S. D. Tomlinson

Edna L. Hollingsworth, # 41582481
Dear JKB:

Since writing you on July 19, 2015, I have been informed that I MUST have WRITTEN PERMISSION in order to thwart any possible copyright infringements. Thank you in advance for your attention to this request. If I do not hear from you within a reasonable time I will, of course, withdraw the photo from my treatise.

Edna L. Hollingsworth, # 41582481
Dear JKB: Re: Edna L. Hollingsworth

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is a direct descendant (3rd great grandchild of the progenitor, George Chedel/Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I would respectfully request permission to reproduce the grave marker photograph on this memorial site, as well as any others you may have contributed which may pertain to our line. Credit would be given such as “Courtesy, JKB (unless you provide and permit use of your proper name), contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ?.” If this is not agreeable, I would gladly use whatever you prefer. Where no credit is requested, I use “Courtesy of Find A Grave contributor who wishes to remain anonymous.”

While I would prefer to hear from you, if I do not receive a response by Aug 10 I will presume you have no objections to either my request or crediting you as I first described. Please know that this “deadline” is not meant to push you to a decision but to perhaps save you a little time by not having to respond? I want to cover all my bases to be certain I offend no one and I also believe in giving credit where credit is due.

My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I’m 86) or distance and cannot do the hands-on research we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute your research information to the Internet. Many thanks from an old lady.

GILMAN
Hello and greetings from England.

My husband's grandfather was born in America in 1886 and I am currently looking for the source of the Gilman name. It's quite complicated but one of my trails has led me to John Gilman, his wife Lizzie and son Edward. John hailed from Redfield, Oswego County, NY but moved to St. Louis, Missouri in later life. I am trying to piece together his life story, just in case it fits in with the one I have. I know from the book "The Gilmans of Conneticut" that he had a son Edward, so am wondering if it is the baby you have posted details for on Find-A-Grave, buried in the now defunct Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Are there any more details concerning Edward's parents please?

If you can help in any way, I would be very much obliged as researching from so far away is very difficult.

Very many thanks and a happy Easter to you and yours.
