John Leverton 1837-1920
Hi Cindy. I am researching the history of my Leverton ancestors. I have a John Leverton born 1835 in Heckington, Lincolnshire, England who emigrates to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1851. Could this be the same John?

Susanna Artilissa Stephens Terral
Hi, Susanna is my g-grandmother, too. I saw that the name "Stephens" came from a pension request that, I assume, her mother made. Could you tell me who that pension was requested on? I would really like to read it.
Thanks, Mary McGuire

Oh... My ancestor who was her son was Joshua Terral of Wayne Co. and Jasper Co., MS,

William Shepherd
Hi Cindy,

I think you are the one who posted the memorial to William Shepherd. I am a descendant through the Missouri Wilkinson line, and I am very interested to know if you have a source for the 17 April 1764 marriage date for him and Jemima. I'm also interested in anything the definitively puts either in Virginia.

Here's hoping,

John Metz

RE: William Lindley
Cindy,

You are welcome! I walked the entire cemetery and did not find William's headstone. Either there was no stone or it was not readable. If you can find the plot map of the cemetery, then you could request the photo again with the location.

God Bless You!

RE: Stephen & Henry Thomas
Sounds like a plan to me. You have the research info, post it as you know it, and maybe some other family member will add to yours. You have done a wonderful job of this family and I REALLY appreciate all you've done. Thanx a bunch and give me a shout if you need something.

RE: Stephen & Henry Thomas
HI Cindy, if they both died in Virginia during the War, it seems to me they may not have been returned home for burial. SO, as you have more info for them, you make the call on posting an 'unknown cemetery' for them. At least we can then link them to family members in F.A.G., And thank you for all your hard work in F.A.G. Keep up the good work and have a great day.

Seaborn Thomas brothers??
Hi Cindy, Popeye here, in our posts of the Thomases, part of your info "Two of Seaborn's brothers, Henry and Stephen, died in Virginia during the war." Do you by chance know if they also were buried in Va., and if so where??
If we aren't sure of the 'assumed' burial place, I will post an unknown in F.A.G. so we can link there families. Keep up the good work and have a great day, Dennis

Beverly Bounds Davis
Bounds family Western Shore of MD
Hi Cindy, I just read your message. I can go back to 1789 tax records for Richard Bounds of Anne Arundel Co., MD. The family story was his son came to Annapolis by boat to find land to farm. He had a 500 acre farm called " Rich's Acres". We assumed coming by boat meant from England. I have found out his son was born on 23 Oct., 1798 in Anne Arundel Co., MD and Richard's wife was from that county.
Since the family names used, the occupations, and religions match. We are wondering if someone stopped in MD and did not travel further. Almost every Bounds on the Western Shore belongs to our family. My e-mail is boundsdavis@cs.com. I am Bounds on my maternal and paternal sides but my DNA doesn't work.
Hope to hear from you, anything you can share.
Bev.
