Bio and Links
Bio Photo I found this on another members profile and it truly expresses how I feel as well:
"The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people.

My Mom @-->--Ruth Bursey Lavash
Her parents: William Nelson Bursey
Flora Lillian Bradbury Bursey
Her Grandparents:William Robert Bursey
Mary Brown Bursey
Her Great Grandparents:Stephen Brown
Catherine Porter Brown

My Dad's parents:Raymond Lavash
Ellen Veronica Hynes Lavash
My Dad's Grandparents:Caroline Sampson Lavash
and Ernest Paul Lavash

I'm searching for information for the following Families: Lavash, Lavache, Hynes, Higgins, Donohoe,Bursey, Bradbury, Brown, Demeo, Hayes, Sawin. I've been researching my roots for over 20 years and have now started to record cemeteries for others. I've also started adding any Irish and Canadians that I come across, in tribute to my ancesters, military graves & any children that I find - they seem to be the hardest to find & I'm recording them as I find them.

A coin left on a headstone lets the deceased soldier's family know that somebody stopped by to pay their respect. Leaving a penny means you visited. A nickel means that you and the deceased soldier trained at boot camp together. If you served with the soldier, you leave a dime. A quarter is very significant because it means that you were there when that soldier died".

This is an abbreviated list of cemeteries that I have visited so far - I've visited some of these because I have family members there -
Belmont Cemetery - Belmont, MA
Calvary Cemetery & Maus. - Waltham, MA
Cambridge Cemetery - Cambridge, MA
Common Street Cemetery - Watertown, MA
Cudworth Cemetery - Scituate, MA

Thank you for taking the time to photograph my relative memorial/headstone. I also know it is time consuming and challenging. Again thank you.

RE: William Carleton
Sharon, I see you have done much work in this cemetery and I appreciate your time and effort!
Looking once more at the William Carleton family plot, it looks like his might be the stone that reads "Father" and I see his wife has info on the reverse side of "Mother", did you look on the back side of the "Father" stone when you were there?

Thanks,
Kent

Sharon, I changed the date of death back to January 31, 1893. I double checked the death certificate and that's what it is. February 3, was the date of internment. Thanks for letting me know.

transcriptions
hi,

I will only add poems, or sayings, mother or father, etc as per find a grave guidelines in the transcription field.

To put what can be read easily anyway from the stone photo is like repeating info that is already there

I know some do add it but I prefer to follow guidelines, thank you

I do appreciate the photos and info you send. You work hard at it.

Nixon Waterman
Sharon Lavash Hawkins,

Thank you for taking and posting the photographs of the gravesite marker of Nixon Waterman (156839134). I started his memorial page while doing research for my website www.MakeFunOfLife.net. He is just one among many of what some people would call minor celebrities, whose life stories have somehow become largely lost with the passage of time, and I am trying to find and put together the tiny details that can be assembled into their life stories. I usually find brief mentions of them in old publications from past centuries, and include the when posting their poems, essays, quotations, songs, and other short works.

Keep up the excellent work!
