|I really enjoy digging for my family's roots and I also enjoy helping others connect with their family roots. |
Whenever I take photos, I try to upload them to USGenweb Archives tombstone Project as well as FindAGrave.
If I end up adding a memorial for a member of your family, PLEASE do not hesitate to ask me to transfer it to you. This site is most valuable when every memorial is lovingly tended and updated by family members.
I would be remiss in not mentioning that most of the cemeteries here in Alameda County, CA are huge and I am not able to walk the whole cemetery to find your folks. Several of the cemeteries also have policies of not providing location information to volunteers. For these reasons, I recommend that you contact the cemetery ahead of time for a location and add that information to your memorial. Where possible, I will contact the office for location information, but I confess that requests containing location information make it to the top of my list.

My sincere apologies for not responding sooner, but I only just now saw your message. So much for those auto notifications!!
I looked through the photos and think you got them correct - at least the ones for my family. Many of the others were in pretty good shape and the names legible. It does look like a very interesting and tough cemetery to decipher, though.
Here's my email if you would like to forward the photos you mentioned. I'll take a look and let you know if I have any revelations.... email@example.com
Thanks for doing this. Really great photos. Sounds like the people whose land the cemetery is on were quite accommodating.
|Russ_T||RE: Kay Arnold Photo request for the O'Briens at Mt. Calvary Cemetery,|
Thank you so very much for responding to my photo request. It is truly a shame what has happened to Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Kay, you may want to get in contact with Michael Gulden. (I don't know him personally, but he has a pic of the stone for one of his memorials). He may be able to get a pic for you or let you know where the tombstones are being kept. I drive by this cemetery on the way home from work and there are only 4 or 5 stones there.

I would appreciate your making the following additions:
Connect Mary, #69163358, as the mother of Thomas, #69163455; Joseph W., #69163521; and Elizabeth, #69163604.
Mary was born Mary D. Farrow in Kentucky. Her spouse was Griffin B. DeAtley (1804-1870), born in Virginia and died in Indiana. Their children, that I know of from census records, were all born in Indiana and were: William (1830- ); Thomas (Nov 1833-1915); Joseph (1836-1892); James (1840- ) ; and Elizabeth (Sep 1842-1925)
This family is not at all directly related to me, but it is of interest because they are maternal ancestors of my half brother. Again, thank yu for your contribution to findagrave that enabled me to find the burial site of this portion of the DeAtley family.
Im sorry I been doig up dates all day and Im so tired I just cant make since of this would You be so kind as to resend it to Me in a little clearer message so an old fogy can make it out .thank You or mzybe I can transfer it. let Me know

Kay next time you want links made please go to the page of that person then send parent link thru there putting all names and memorial numbers in one edit makes it a bit rough.
