Theresa Rassel
James Lightfoot
Hi, my name is Theresa Rassel and I'm working with a man who's actually writing a book about a character truly buried in the Fergus Falls Poor Farm cemetery. We're cleaning it up and marking all the grave sites. If you have any knowledge of James to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am not related to them. I probably was doing a family tree for a friend. Where did you see the message? If you send me what it was that will refresh my memory. Thank you.

HALL sirname around Wakonda
I am a HALL descendant and have done enough checking in the Wakonda (South Dakota) area to know that, at one time, a person could walk close to a thousand acres of (my) HALL homesteads without stepping from them.
-
I have also drawn a map of where all the (homesteaded) HALL's lived. There are a couple of HALL names that I cannot place in my family.
-
One is a Leah HALL (or heirs of) and John W. HALL. I am wondering if you can add some details on either of these two and where they came from? Interestingly, Leah HALL filed for her homestead (in Vermillion) on the same day as the earliest HALL cousin (Fred). Did they go together? It was a long trip in 187? (going on memory, sorry).
-
I see that one of John's daughters married a BABB. I too, have a HALL cousin who married a BABB (much later), probably a common occurrence in such a small town.
-
I am related to every HALL that is buried in Union cemetery, except for John W. and Lydia (BILLICK) HALL.

billick family
I have been so excited to see the photos that you have been adding to this site.
My grandfather Charles Billick was a bother to William Billick and Eliza (Sally) Marsh.
You must have been in contact with Lyle Giesen before his death. Just wondering how we connect.
I have pictures of that family-I've added them on the sites-well some.Starting with Charles who is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Brooklyn, Iowa.
I just want to say thanks again, especially was glad to see Ezra Graham. I feel so closes to all these people after thirty years of research. Now to see their images has brought me great joy.
I'm connecting all the children to their parents, but I teach and work at the family history center so I find my time is limited.
Love ya for your work

Thank you for your
appreciation. If I had had civilian clothes I would have come home in them. We were told to sit down on the plane (commercial) and shut up.
Thanks again.

Hi - No I don't have a photo. I found the information online and transferred it to Find A Grave. I checked back and Aug 22 is the date I found. It's possible of course that that online date is incorrect. Sorry I can't help more than that.

If you need more information I'd be glad to give you all I can find. If there will be more correspondence we should do this by our email and not fill up your public space. Al
