RE: Frank Kauffman
Sorry for the extremely delayed reply. Life has a way of "creeping" its way into plans. My grandmother passed away at Navy Hospital in July 1981 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in San Diego.

RE: Frank Kauffman
I mis-read your original question reagrding "Grandpa Frank." He married my grandmother, Eunice Massey, who was previously divorced. To keep things simple for a little boy, without all the "adult" details, I called my maternal grandfather "Grandpa John" and my grandmother's second husband, "Grandpa Frank." I hope that makes sense. Sorry for my confusion.

I don't really have any memories of Pearl. I was not quite 3 when she passed. I do have a card she sent for me signed Granny Pearl. It was so long ago, perhaps I was mistaken about the name "Richard."

RE: Frank Kauffman
We sure did. I believe your father's name was Richard, correct? He was in the Navy, Lt.Cmdr?
