Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Massachusetts for all my life (so far), except for college - in Newton for about 20 years, and Newburyport for just over 40 years.

I am relatively new at taking gravestone pictures but I'm getting the hang of it.

I have a family tree on Ancestry.Com which led me to Find A Grave. It has helped locate relatives and a special moment was Feb 2011 when someone in New York added a memorial for my great great grandfather, Harlow Martin Purple. We didn't even know where he was laid to rest.

That has given me a new outlook on Find A Grave and is why I'm willing to do photo requests and have added many memorials for people I don't even know.

Bob,
No, I am not related at all. Just was taking photos of the stones and entering the info. Was reading the memorial you had made and seen your notation. Thought maybe you are doing a family tree and didn't have info on J.M.

Adeliza J "Addie" Johnson
Just dropping you a note - been doing research on the Cure family in Tioga & Schuyler. Addie is mentioned in a legal notice dated 11 Oct 1901 in the Watkins Express, as an heir of Amos Cure. Addie's parents were David Boardman Cure & Achsah Hubbell. Amos B Cure was a brother of David B Cure. Her brother, Andrew J Cure is also listed in the notice. Thanks for all you do for findagrave ! RE: Harold B Currier
Hi Bob,
I just wrote you a long note with additional info, but the message failed to send. I am very distantly related to the Curriers, sixth cousins, so not in the transfer guidelines. I get alot of information from familysearch.org. I find that their records are generally more complete and accurate than Ancestry.com. I'll send the other info later.

RE: Melcher - Hawes Cem, Hampton Falls NH
Hi Bob,

Thank you very much for transferring my ancestors to me. I would be delighted to take you up on your generous offer to transfer the remaining Melchers to me. Six of them are my direct ancestors, and two of them are siblings of my ancestors. I don't know if you manage them all, but any you could transfer I would appreciate.

My mother and I are planning another trip back to New England this fall, and one of the things I am going to do is photograph and add memorials for the neighbors of my ancestors in an obscure cemetery that has not been added to Find A Grave yet. I feel the same way that you do; I would prefer that a relative, even a distant one, manage the memorials of anyone that I add that is not a relative of mine.

Thank you again, Amy

Currier Grave
Thanks again. The picture looks great. I like the idea of a picture showing the location of the grave with surrounding stones and landmarks.

Sincerely,

Frank Allen III

Your photo of the Jones/Lightbody marker was very helpful as it gave us several new pieces of information for the family tree.

Thank-you very much.

Rouillard
Thank you for taking the time to document the Rouillard family, and for transfering the memorials to me. I find it very comforting to be able to "visit" gravesites that I would never be able to see, otherwise. Your time and effort is much appreciated!
