|Phil & Donna Whitaker||Mattie Helen Popejoy|
I guess I am confused by now. Her marker says Popejoy. Her husband is Popejoy. She died before him at a young age. So, where did the Brantly come in?
|Nancy Berntson||Capt. Andrew Carson|
He is also my 5th great grand uncle. Where do you come into the picture? I am through William and Eleanor McDuff Carson
Hello.......we appear to be related as we have the same great grandfathers except your just one generation away from me....I am very much an amateur at finding my roots.
|Amy Barnes||John F. Going|
Hi WildBill Billy,
I see you noted John F. Going as your 7th Great-Grandfather. He is mine also. I'd love to share family notes and learn where you connect into the family tree. Please email me at Familie.Totengraber@outlook.com
Have a great day!
|Barbara Bowman||Walford Lysander Popejoy|
I found the obituary for Lysander's wife in the Iowa newspaper. It states that Lysander died in 1910. Are you interested in seeing the newspaper obituary? It was on the front page. How sad that his mother's obituary states that she was looking for him when she died in 1915.

You are certainly quick with responses. Thank you for your information about a marriage record for Nancy & Thomas Thompson. I hoped to find one definite spelling. I guess we have to settle for the many versions of Kenslo, Kinsloe, Kincheloe, etc.
I am still looking for official marriage record of Rebecca Thompson to Jacob Arnold and am not convinced yet that Thomas Thompson is buried in Clark County. Will continue to look for records. The quest never seems to end! Happy 4th of July.

Thank you. I will keep trying to track down her daughters Susan and Melba. Hate to have photos that don't belong to our family. Keep up the good work.
|N.L. Moore||Re Allis Vada Arnold Moore|
Vada was my grandmother. Two of her sisters lived in Oregon for a time when I was a small boy. I knew Effie "Aunt Eff" as we called her.
I am wondering about your relationship to Elijah Major Moore and his second wife Jessie Stroup McCarthy Moore?
The reason I ask is because a lot of ancestry.com trees list Jessie's daughters Susan and Melba as daughters of Elijah M. Moore and Vada Arnold Moore. E.M. and Vada had only three children -- James Arthur, Samuel Mitchell, and Modest. I never knew who she was married to before E.M. Moore, but did find their marriage in Malheur Co. Oregon and her name was Jessie Stroup McCarthy, so I assumed McCarthy was father of the girls. I have been looking for a relative of theirs to find out if some of the phots we have are the girls. Thanks for the super quick response. N.L. Moore
|N.L. Moore||Your relationship to Elijah Major Moore|
Hello WildBill "Billy", I saw your flower expressions on some of my family sites. I am related to Elijah Major Moore of Ontario, Oregon Find A Grave #29617940 and wonder if you are, too? Your message referred to Elijah Major Moore as your great grand uncle and also to Jessie Stroup Moore and James McCarthy buried in Santa Barbara. James McCarthy was Jessie's first husband.
Are you related to her family lines? N.L. Moore
