Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family. Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today. The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer. When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.|

Linda, I requested several times in both emails, edits and public postings if you would be kind enough to transfer Mr Esposito's memorial to me. He is my wife's father. If there is a problem with my request, please contact me. Thank you.

This is memorial you have set up for Mary Andrews Barding. I believe the information that is written is a combination of facts. William Andrews first married Mary Abigail Savage. Her d.o.b. 1602 in St Giles Cripplegate London, Middlesex, England and she died on 19 Jan 1640 in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. He, William Andrews, then married Abigail Graves who later married Nathaniel Barding after William's death.
There is a long article on Ancestry that gives all of this information.

Did they take her back to England to bury her?
Added by J.B. on Feb 09, 2016 9:30 AM
I added her maiden name, but read the wrong wife's DOB and POB.
Supposed to be 1621 in Tavistock, Devon, England
She was baptized in Sept of same year...

|John Sweet||John Sweet of Salem, MA|
You posted a memorial page for my namesake and 8th Great Grandfather, John Sweet. Perhaps you would like to know that we have proven that John Sweet of Traine, Modbury was another family entirely by the DNA of two men; one who resides in Australia and the other in Kent, England who both had family histories of being of that family and their DNA matched. It does not match the DNA of myself and about 30 others who have genealogies and identical DNA to John of Salem.
Robert, father of John born at Hackney, London was probably related to the Sweet families who resided there in the 1400's (Thomas and John among others) who were church wardens there over the centuries.
No one knows where John Sweet came from before he was noted as a resident of Salem. Interestingly enough as I child I lived on Barton Square, which would have the land of John Sweet in 1632. Always wondered if he was buried in the Old Burying Point on Charter Street.
Was John Sweet an ancestor of yours perhaps?
Regards, John Sweet

Hi - you posted Matthew Grant - 4th Child of Matthew & Priscilla Grant New Haven, CT I was wondering if you could possibly take a picture of the tombstones - or is that asking too much. Also you posted his sibling/half-siblings. Can you tell me where you got this information. Also the name of the cemetery would be very helpful. Thank you!
What is your source for the location of Richard's burial in Hadley,
Hampshire county, since he died in Dedham, Norfolk, MA?
This doesn't make sense to me.
What are your sources for this Richard Church, as they seem to match the Richard Church who married Elizabeth Warren in Plymouth
Colony and who died in Norfolk, MA on the date listed herein.

`I noticed that you left my GGG GF off the list of John & Alice Shaws children. His name is Anthony Saw, (1628-1705.) He is listed as such in the book, "Little Compton Families." Can you double check this? Thank-You
