Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.|
I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.
Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.
The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.
When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.

|Dana Dancy||Richard Church #34803011|
Hi! I left an edit for Richard Church for adding "Jr". and correcting his year of death to 1668. I also left a "flower" with the following message: "There are several memorials for Richard Church. On 20 Oct 2013 - I was informed by the photo volunteer P.K. Magruder (member #47017377) that Richard Church is not buried in the Hockanum cemetery. Richard Church Jr. is my 9th gr. grandfather. I previously had a memorial for him in Hadley but removed it after no proof could be found for him being buried there."
Could you please leave a note on your Richard Church that a photo search was already done at the Hockanum cemetery (memorial #113148403) so that other photo volunteers won't waste their time searching for him in that cemetery.
Hopefully we can get this all sorted out so there eventually will only be one memorial for Richard Church.
Best wishes, Dana

You made a memorial page for Gilbert Brooks that shows he has 3 daughters, Elizabeth, Phebe & Bathsheba. My genealogy shows he had a daughter named Rebecca born a bit later, 1657. Do you know if this could be right? I also have that she was married to a William Manley.

The death date on the grave differs from your information but everything else matched. I hope it was the one you were looking for.

I believe they are a married couple. Are the markers close together?

Linking any "burial unknown" memorials to famous memorials is against Find a Grave policy. You must not do this. In fact, please refrain from creating any "burial unknown" memorials.

According to The New Haven Jewish Cemeteries, see above link, A. Orloff is not buried in Independent Adas Israel.
I was just notified of the duplicate posting so I checked the site to see if I should delete my memorial. Perhaps you have used Jewish Gen which does not always have accurate information.
Would you transfer my great grandmother to my care? I would be honored to take care of it.
My findagrave number is 46985364
My great grandmother is found here: 35342176 Her name was Bridget H Sanford.
Thank you for your consideration!
