Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.|

|Ernest Atha||Joel and Irene Fisher|
Linda Mac: It is a pleasure to have found Joel and Irene Fisher among your collection of memorials. I am a great grandson of theirs through my mother and have added portraits of theirs, which currently hang in my dining room. If agreeable, I would like to manage their memorials. Advise what I need to do to hold this responsibility and know I am grateful for your help.
|Barbara Weichert||Mary Bradbury Stanyan|
In the information given on Mary Bradbury Stanyan, it says that her husband was John Pickering, Jr. Then the link gives her spouse's name as John Stanyan. All of the information that I have found says that she married John Stanyan. That include The Bradbury Memorial. Please fix it!
|Rodney Wright||Wife of Samuel Wright|
What is your source for Margret maiden name
Memorial # 34523348
|Shannon Wood||Levi Gray not like picture LEVI GARY|
This is incorrect! This is incorrect for Levi GRAY, b.1766. You have a picture of LEVI GARY!
My grandfather is Levi Gray and he was married to Rhoda Cable, not to whom this memorial says....please take this down or correct it! This is absolutely not the right person!
Hello Linda - I just found this record and so now your memorial information makes sense. Sorry to have bothered you. Thank you for your memorial on this woman. It helped me get my tree straightened out. - Janet

|M. Parks||RE: Benjamin balch|
Benjamin Balch is my 8th great grandfather. You know what. I don't care if you transfer. Because of your comment, I'm done with Findagrave. I'm going to delete all my records because of people I come across like you. Old retired people that have nothing else to do then to tell people "NO" or that's not your photo etc. I can't tell you how many times I have come on here and asked for a simple request and I get rude people like you. Thanks anyway.
