Past President of the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society (www.mvgenealogy.org) & author of New Copies of Old Records from Hebron CT, 1708-1875 (Heritage Books, 2011) & various articles on New England genealogy.I have transcribed Litchfield County, CT cemeteries from the Hale Collection because I'm looking for 18th Century collateral ancestors in our Birge, Fox, Hatch, Holcomb, Hindman, Hunt, Noble, Peck, Thompson, Wilcox, & Willson lines. If you are related to other families in these cemeteries, let me know & I will transfer ownership of memorials with your surnames to you so you can add information and links. I have many other Connecticut ancestors in central Connecticut cemeteries, where I will also transfer memorials unrelated to our family.Most of my Connecticut memorials are copied from the Hale Collection, which transcribed all Connecticut tombstones during the Depression. The transcription is not error-free, but Hale was able to read things then which are no longer legible today.The New Hampshire entries are all from Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of NH, by Mrs. Charles Goss (1942). None are close relations of mine, so if you want to make additions or corrections, please just request a transfer.When contacting me about a specific memorial, PLEASE do so from the Edit:Corrections & Queries tab on the memorial itself. This makes it SO much easier for me to respond quickly & accurately.|

|Judith Lee Howard Shea||Lemuel Smith 2 memorials|
For Lemuel Smith, there seem to be 2 memorials. Your name is on both, so I'm writing to you. Do you think they could be condensed into one? One memorial is more complete than the other. They have different numbers. He died in 1759. That will make it easy to find both. It's in the Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, CT.
Judith Lee Howard Shea
Your memorial to my mother is a duplicate of one I created. Thank you for creating it but
I'm afraid that having two memorials will create some confusion. I have already added photos and a bio to mine. Thanks.

"Alise Mousall, widow of Ralph Mousall" died Charlestown 1677. I'm working on this family today and find the findagrave memorials to them don't work for the dates given. I'm going to include you in my long winded thought process in a private email that I'm sending to others involved in this family.

Joseph Antoine Arseneau ( 75265557 ) is my great Uncle, his wife is buried in RI and they never had any children. I was a pallbearer at his funeral. I have become the family historian and am try to connect all members via find A Grave and ancestry. Would it be possible for you to transfer his memorial to me so that I can easily add bio info etc.

|JayLyme||Gilbert Lot Lyme, NH|
I submitted the following to you via the edit links last September, but have not heard back from you:
Find A Grave contributor JayLyme has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for David Sloan.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=82107663

I have been working on photographing and documenting all the graves (19) in this small early Lyme lot, and am on town committee to enable its restoration. I wonder if you would be willing to transfer management of this memorial? I can add genealogical data and add comments

|LadyGoshen||Porter Cemetery (aka Stetson) in Lyme NH|
Stetson was merged into Porter which is the official, current name. This has resulted in emphasizing the duplicate memorials. Although the memorials you created are older, they lack photos and links. Would you be willing to remove them and allow the more complete ones to remain? Otherwise we will have a lot of work to do with updating... frankly, I'd rather spend the time photographing and creating new memorials for cemeteries that haven't been documented yet.
Just to be clear: I'm just trying to sort out the situation--I didn't make any of the memorials.
thanks for your consideration,

Her father was Daniel Morris not Morrel.
Would you change it for me please. Thank you for you devotion to genealogy detective work you have accomplished over the years. I feel the same to devote to my ancestors.
