Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

 | Easter Ann Wilson Timmons Do you know who her parents were? There are so many mix ups! I have a Martha Ann Wilson born 1834 in Alabama that married a Robert Timmons, who I suspect is the father of Easter's husband, but I never found information on Martha, other than a family Bible, as a daughter of James Wilson and Easter Cobb. Is your Easter connected to the James and Easter Cobb Wilson families that came to Bell Co., Texas in 1867? I know 2 of their sons, John and Robert, who were buried in the Weaver Chapel and Ater Cemeteries, respectively, were sons. Hope I haven't confused you.Added by Jon on Nov 25, 2012 1:02 AM | | | Stormy
 | RE: Hancock Kenneth, I'm Ok...just had and possibly still having a problem with my Find A Grave account (or should I say accounts). For some odd reason about 3 months ago perhaps less, Find A Grave would not let me add any memorials or add information to my already existing memorials...it wouldn't even let me go to my profile page. So after a time I joined with a different address..and it was OK except I couldn't add to Memorials that I had under the other account...This morning...all my memoials are under my new account and I'm still having problems staying logged in and entering information...it's just flusterating..
So how are you? I sent you a personal e-mail a few weeks back and you were away for a few days, and you never contacted me so I wasn't even sure my mail was getting routed correctly!
Perhaps things will get better, especilly being that Find A Grave was the web-site that I used most often and has so very much of my information on it. Ha...Added by Stormy on Aug 14, 2011 8:29 AM | | | Grave Digger

 | Dethloff marker I posted your photo request for Martha and found that she had a companion marker with Virginia Snodgrass and added her memorial too. Also on the head of Martha is another marker for Clyde Allen Jr. possibly another relative or friend? I added his memorial also. If you want ownership of these please let me know.

 | Henry Charles Hopp Hi: I thought you might like to know that Henry was married to Olive E (nee Chavey) Hopp #11043818. Actually, she married a Swanson after Henry, but is buried with Henry.Added by Chris on Jun 04, 2011 8:33 AM | | | Chris
 | RE: Otto A Hopp Hi: I've found the Hopp history very interesting. I'm planning a trip to MI this summer and hope to visit the cemetery. I grew up not far from there and never knew the cemetery was there. I'm not closely related but they show up in my Sielaff family tree through several marriages. Grand Lawn Cemetery is just down the street. Are there any family members buried there?Added by Chris on Jun 01, 2011 8:31 AM | | | Chris
 | Sophie Hopp Schwartz Dethloff Hi: I found her marriage record to August Schwartz dated April 17, 1890 in Grosse Pointe. I also found her marriage record to William Dethloff on March 30, 1898. He has two other marriage records dated 1892 and 1894.Added by Chris on May 29, 2011 4:18 PM | | | Chris
 | Otto A Hopp Hi: I was doing some work on the Hopp family and found his memorial. I notice there is a note about him leaving only his wife and a son in 1937. His son Clayton lived to 1995, Russell to 1973 and Lyle died in 1992. That leaves Eulalie, Goldie, Viola and King unaccounted for. I thought you might like to know.Added by Chris on May 28, 2011 4:14 PM | | | Bridget Slade
 | cemetery Send me your email address and I will mail you the pictures I took today directly and you can add them on findagrave site in your name. There was a Daniel E Sttevens but not the other one. I asked the lady there, she had a book with all the names in it, but Daniel was the only one. | | | Bridget Slade
 | RE: George Stevens I will try and go to the cemetery in the next couple weeks and take the photos. | | | | [View all messages...] |
