We started out just two guys who have an interest in genealogy and old things.
One of us (Eric) has relatives at Multnomah Park, the other (David) is repaying a debt to genealogists who supplied him with a huge amount of information from Sweden.
We have listed most of the graves in this large public cemetery, which contains over 12,000 residents. We have not, and probably will not, list the most recent burials in the cemetery because of privacy concerns. The 'death' dates for people may be their burial dates. We are working off Metro's data base which gives the burial date of the deceased up until the 1970's.

The data base supplied to us by Metro, the current managing agency for Multnomah Park has a lot amount of unknowns, and that's where the X's come in. IF you see an "X" in the plot information it means it is unknown in the data base that we have nearly finished transcribing and entering for all people to see and use. Note that Metro inherited the records from another agency who inherited them from a previous owner.

Check out Metro's webpage for Multnomah Park Cemetery: http://www.oregonmetro.gov/index.cfm/go/by.web/id=12692

If you have any information on any of the residents of Multnomah Park, please use the new correction on FindAGrave to let us know. It is much quicker and easier for us - and will get done sooner than the 'old' way. Thanks! We'd like these people to be more than just a name with dates. They (we) all have a story to tell!

We are making periodic trips to the state archives in Salem to make copies of Death Certificates. We do update information with data from the various death certificates - when we have the time. We have, but generally do not post the certificates on FAG. If you would like one please inquire. Driving an hour to Salem to copy documents in the state archives is beyond what is a normal volunteer activity - especially with the price of gas.

Thank you, David and Eric.

May I have your permission to download the photo of Mrs. Frances (Greshen) Trullinger (Memorial# 46438933)?

Dear Invenio:

Sorry for the delay. I have been having trouble accessing my e-mail account and am in the process of switching over. I finally got in today and saw that you had taken the picture of the grave.

Thank you so very much. It is sincerely appreciated.

Engdahl: Historic Columbian Cemetery
Conrad Engdahl, Resurvey, no block given, Lot 27, next to the fence (I can research this further if needed).

Herbert Engdahl, Myrtle Survey, Block 23, Lot 6.

Neither of these names appears in the walking list, so either there are no markers or they need to be uncovered.

your work at Multnomah Park
thank you for your work at Multnomah Park. I do not have any ties to that cemetery except to be a photo volunteer and found 26+ requests so went searching. while searching for those requests we actually 'uncovered' memorials you made from the data base that were completely hidden by overgrown sod/dirt). We carefully removed sod/uncovered those stones and in some cases added a photo (with gps) even tho there was no request. I've sent you couple of corrections for the "Lawrence" family doing away with the 'x". I feel bad I did not get a photo of the Lawrence headstone - maybe another day. Using my I-phone with find-a-grave ap allows photo and upload on the spot and also ability to search surrounding graves to make sure we are in right area. Plan to do more.

Delbert Eldred
Hi
I sent Metro a big long message about the Eldred brothers not being in Multnomah Park. Phyllis is usually awful busy but I will hear back from her sooner or later.

RE: Mt St Helens
Thanks again.
No... I had not heard of that book.
But it's in my cart and paid for... so I'll add it to my collection.
Maybe I can find the author for a signed copy (wink!)
My family travels to visit our beautiful mountain many times throughout the year. We love living by and being able to visit such a beautiful and majestic mountain :-)
Thanks for the book tip, looking forward to it.

Erland and Anna Marie Lindholm
Thank you so very much for the 'transfers' of the above named memorials..... I searched and searched for her grave... So happy you found it... I was just at the Forrester Cemetery yesterday and took some pictures... failed to have time to check for 'Marie' and 'Erland's' graves...
