Its wonderful to find family members! This has been an adventure of lifetimes [pun intended]. I am finding so many "lost" relatives I shall never feel alone.|
Any photos I have taken or will take will be for anyone to use on FAG or ANCESTRY. I have a basic trust of people to use respectfully.

Thank you for this valuable information. I'm a rookie to these sites and as soon as I figure out how, I will cite you as my resource.

Thanks Paulette. Find a Grave is turning into a wonderful resource with pictures to go with it. Welcome and hopefully we can share more as time goes on.

The sign by the road is the one that reads Northumberland Cemetery. When you enter the older part of the cemetery has the sign that reads Groveton Cemetery. So guess the answer to your question is "yes, they are the same cemetery".

I am just so happy that you were able to use one of my photos!
Being a librarian, I know that information has little value unless we share it with the world where it can be used by those who need it.
I appreciate you letting me know that my photo was useful to you.

I am glad you enjoyed my photo, I love walking at Evergreen Cemetery and occasionally get lucky with a good picture. Feel free to use the photo, and thank you for asking ~ Becca

Paulette...I'm glad you enjoy my bio, and thank you very much for your recent criticism regarding the lack of information for the memorial for Elwin Wells. The lack of information was all the town of Littleton provided me with, but at least now we know where this poor individual is buried. Once the word gets out there regarding his whereabouts through Find A Grave and A.com I'm sure his relatives will be more than happy to send me his DOB and DOD...I'm more than happy to do edits 24/7...Regards.... Connie
|amyinleeds||RE: Annie E Hutchins|
I have actually seen a number of cases, curiously seems to be often in the 1900 census, where folks misrepresent their ages. I see this often where a much older man marries a younger woman. Or when a woman is older than the man she married. I have observed this with my own ancestor families. It for sure confuses me until I figure it out.
In these cases, in the absence of other records, I look to the earliest census that person appears in. Their ages as young children tends to be most correct. One also looks to the ages of children in a sequence, to see if that looks about right. In this case Annie Hutchins was 9 in the 1870 census, born about 1861. In the 1900 census she is listed as five years younger, born in 1866.
I also see in this 1900 census that Annie had had three children and three were still living. These are the three Rice children in the census.
I have occasionally observed children taken in by families. They typically are listed with their own last names are listed as boarders.
But I can see why that census confused you. I don't remember that I had noticed this census error. Had I, it sure would have sent me scrambling to find other records.

Paulette, I just submitted a photo for the Mt Pleasant Cemetery. There is no signage.
