As I walked in the cemeteries, quickly scribbling dates; I realized that this was too time consuming and a very tedious way to record information. |
It became apparent to me that digital photography was the way to go. It would be the quickest, best and easiest way to save documentation, and the best way to accurately index the dates and inscriptions for use at a later time in research.

I just found out that the memorial I made for Abigail's 2nd husband, Benjamin Smith, should have been in the North Burial Ground in Bristol, not East. When I went to move it I found that someone had already made a memorial for him there, so I had to delete it. You should be getting a request to link Abigail to the correct memorial for Benjamin shortly. sorry for any confusion. Abigail's memorial is correct and should be in the East BG.

Thanks for the correction!
Thank you for helping getting this family together. I appreciate your promptness.

I would like to add the photo of Harriet N Symonds's (# 63901727) headstone to my family tree on Ancestry. She was my 7th cousin 3x removed ,not close but still family.

As you see I took over management of this memorial from another.I did not add the info. I will check his info against yours.

Thank you very much. I am delighted to know that you have other photos. I have just requested transfers so, unfortunately, I cannot edit or link either of the memorials yet. ...and yes, John Upton is her father!

Thank you again for posting the clear photo of Daniel Townsend's marker in the Old Burying Ground, Lynnfield. His wife, Zerviah Upton, died shortly after, on October 19, 1775 (supposedly of a broken heart). Do you know if there was a marker nearby for her?
