Bio and Links
Bio Photo I helped co-write state laws to protect our cemeteries here in Texas.
I've been Honored by the Texas State Senate, Texas State House of Representatives, The Dallas County Historical Commission for my work in preserving and protecting our cemeteries. I served on The State Senate Advisory Committee as well as being an Advisor to a number of cities in my area pertaining to cemeteries within their city limits. I have helped in clean ups and restoring a number of cemeteries. I believe very strongly in cemetery preservation. Cemeteries in most cases are the only history of those that came before us. Like rare books in a library once it's lost it's lost forever.
I served six years on the Duncanville City Council, two years as mayor pro-tem.
I've been working on family genealogy since 1976. I'm the wife of Wallace Richards.

Civil War Medals
Hi Judy,
My ggrandfather was wounded several times, lastly at Gettysburg and taken prisoner; in lieu of the US Purple Heart what was given for wounded Confederates? I would be pleased if you found time to add to his memorial, Find A Grave #39581890. Thanks,
Wayne

Thomas Massie Boyd
You submitted information for CPL Boyd's bio; however, I already have that information in another form in his bio section. Please do not leave lengthy explanations of meanings of service medals in the flower section, it is not an appropriate place to do so. Thank you

Willie Burdell
Thank you for providing the additional information for Willie Burdell. That information has been added to his biographical sketch and I apologize for the length of time it took me to put it on. I let it kind of let it slip through the cracks. The additional information is a great enhancement to his site and I appreciate you taking the time to get it to me.

Obituary for Isaac Tillman Blake
Jud, Thank you so much for the obituary of the husband of my grand Aunt, Nancy Margaret Ragsdale. Her twin, Amelia I Ragsdale, is my maternal grandmother. I have a 1900 picture of Tillman and his friend Ben S Perry about the time they all migrated to Texas.
Please continue your cemetery preservation work as it is so important to family history.
