missing grave in Mississippi
I see you are working in NE Mississippi. The graves of Drayton Berry Armstrong (1822/3-Dec 22, 1848) and his wife, MaryAnn English Armstrong (1834- have been a BIG brick wall for several people. He was born in Al or GA, lived in GA and lived for a while AND was MARRIED in Lee and/or Itawamba Co., and died near Oakland, in Tallatchie Co. MS, (which technically is in Yalobusa Co...). They were listed in the 1850 Census of Itwambia Co. Ms. I'm thinking that since his wife was from Lee / Itawamba Co., she might have had him buried there??? Maybe near some of her 'English' family??? If you happen to stumble across any Armstrong or English markers in northeast Mississippi, please look around for his and hers. Pretty please?

Itawamba County
I actually connected to you from the information that you have posted for John L McKelvain. However, on the other side of my family my gggrandfather was born in 1859 in Itawamba County last name being Chafin. Quite a few of my relatives are from there and died there. My grandfather came to Texas from Baldwyn around 1919.

Traughber, G.W. #28424882
I am related to George's first wife, Sallie Margaret Washington Pitt #5754513. Sallie was my grandfather's half-sister. Their only surviving child is Effie Bonner Traughber Pugh #6374544. Effie has a descendant in Glasgow Scotland. If you have more G.W / General Sidney Traughber family ancestry, would you share it? I'm also looking for a Traughber connection with Thomas Jefferson and Amanda Traughber who are buried in Texas Co., AR. Thanks. Anne

Loretta Eliza Garrett King
I was wondering if Loretta was any kin to you, she married Charles A King, and had one son Crafton that I know of and a daughter who was with them in the accident that took their lives. We were living in a rental house on a farm that they bought, and their was a son Clarence, that I am sure was a step son to Loretta, and we later lived real close to Crafton and Deanna and there children. I think the younger girl was Cheryl, who lived and later married, maybe a Hayes? A friend of mine is kin to the Kings, and he thinks his mother was a cousin to Crafton thru his mother's side.

Thanks for any info you might have on Loretta.

Done! The Kennedy Cemetery is about a mile from my home and I have visited often. I have always wondered about the two "Griffins" buried there with the McAlvains. Was there a family connection or ???

RE: William Traughber # 57883929
1850 Robertson Co TN Wm shows as 14 (live with others). He shows in 1860 and 1870 with family. General Sidney's name messed up but on the census sheet you can see the word Sid. 1880 and 1900 not shown but wife Elizabeth died in 1909 in OK and whole family there but not Wm. Surmize headed west to Todd Co. KY and when wm died in 1902 the family went on to OK. Four years ago I ran all my data with Maurice Traughber and his brother who are the sons of Fred and g'son's of General Sidney. They agreed with what I had plus gave me some their data. The Wm memorial was done by Sylvia Warren, who does fine work but as no stone shown, I assume the cemetery is correct. The line is:
Michael 67378874
Adam 67440785
Jacob 34052890
William 70130403 (D: 1862 but don't have Cem)
William 57883929
General Sidney 13908496
Let me know if want more info.
