Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am sill chugging along picking at them.
Please no more rude messages, or I will have to fix it that no messages can be left..

Thanks for all your support!!! This is a very important site to keep active, not hate full. For the transfers,,,,I really want to go thru some emails before transfers are done. And YES I have done transfers, and some have been transferred to me. So the numbers will be off a bit (how rude to some of you few, uggg)

I do not do edits every day. But I do try to get to them every now and then. When a marker only has one date on it, that does not always mean that they were born and died on the same day. (just a small FYI)

Find A Grave Memorial# 28479908 for James Spencer Robertson
Hello,

Thanks for all the work you have done on find a grave.

James Spencer Robertson is my great-grand uncle and he was born in Fulton County, Illinois rather than Tennessee as stated on the memorial.

I have checked and double checked my sources and documents to make sure I didn't have the wrong person. His father moved to Fulton County, Illinois from Adair County, Kentucky in the 1830's and the family was on the census there through 1860.

Anyway, perhaps you or someone could put in an alternative birthplace.

Thanks very much,

Kate from Illinois

ARCHIE ABLE-- FAG#: 36375927
Hi,
Thank you for being so meticulous and ensuring that you have the correct person. Actually, I do not know very much about Great Unc Archie. Interestingly, however, I do have a letter, penned by his wife for him, written 98 years ago!!! Guess that he may have been illiterate? It seems as though about half of the 14 ABEL kids died pre-WWII.

NOTE THAT: Several of the older male ABEL siblings used the ABLE spelling. My grandfather was the youngest, and was very literate. My family removed to California when I was 12. Sadly, I never asked my gpa any info about his siblings or parents; however, my aunt did, so I have some of her documentation.

One of your messages inquired if I would look at your post for Archie. FROM WHERE DID THIS INFO COME??? Perhaps you are not related but researched and found Archie's obit??? IS THIS CORRECT? From what I know, his son, Charles, was adopted. I am wondering who gave the provided info to the newspaper. If you really would like my input, here is how I would word the narrative:

"Archie had been in ill health for several years but only seriously ill for only a week. Able and his wife Anna moved here 20 years ago from Parsons, Kansas, where he first was employed by the railway. He worked as a boilermaker foreman and boilermaker inspector until he became ill. He is survived by his wife and son Charles F Able."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FYI: Archie's parents spelled the family surname "ABEL". On Archie's WWI Military Draft card, the surnames of both his wife and son were spelled ABLE. From: bundy@cvip.net.
Hello,
Would you kindly attach Find A Grave#: 36375927, my great UNCLE Archie Abel (not Able, as he used!), to his parents as soon as you are ABLE??? I am trying to round up all of the 14 siblings and attach to their parents, with a few still remaining to be found.
Furthermore, how do you know this information about him. Might you be related to his adopted son, Charles??? Am I missing another descendant???
Please email me at bundy@cvip.net.
Thank you so much.
RE: Black Family from PA
Glad the certificates are helpful. I'm not related to the family, just updating more of the memorials I've posted.
