Duplicate with Different Names
Hi Anita,
Thanks - I got your note on the duplicate memorial where someone posted earlier but spelled the last name wrong. I'm in the process of trying to coordinate the information and will then delete.
Much appreciated.
Kind regards,

I got the dates from records. I am not related. No stone found. Maybe this is Henry's sister.

RE: Harry B. Brough
Clarence brough is not a brother to Harry brough, thought the same till I was digging deeper I have court documents to back it. I have not been able to find George brough or his wife Abigail Keiser either. George brough was a brother to my great grandfather and I still have not found him. But I did think of another place to look, going there tomorrow. I do know we had a town cemetery that they say they removed everyone and moved them, there now sets pavement over the cemetery it's now a parking lot- anderson, In. I also lean towards the fact that maybe George and abagail may be back in Ohio. 95 % of the time people end up where they started. I will let you know if I find anything
Thanks Kim

RE: Catherine Beckley Lower
Anita: I am in no hurry and understand that your family reunion is the priority. I thought that I should check out the internet as I might find the book there where I could copy it. Also, I am 83 so I know that life slows down about now. Evelyn

RE: Catherine Beckley Lower
Ancestry did not have any marriage records on the children of Catherine and Benjamin. Would it be possible for you to scan a copy from the book? I will understand if you cannot do that.

I will check the LDS Library here.

RE: Catherine Beckley Lower
Anita: Thank you for the quick reply. I am working with a DAR applicant and her line starts with Michael Lower (1715-1786)
Christian Lower (1758-1831)
Benjamin Lower (1787-1856)
Jacob B. Lower (1825-1893)
Sarah Catherine Lower (1858-1892),
m. Henry Sauerbrey (1853-1907)
Allen Phillip Sauerbrey (1884-1959)
Ruth E. Sauerbrey (1910-)
m. Paul Henry Atlee Schumaker (1910-)
Most of the data (from other applications)is complete except for proof of Catherine's maiden name. They like for missing data to be added by later applicants when available. The book might be here in our LDS library or they might be able to have it sent to them. Are there images of her children's marriage certificates in the book? I might also try Ancestry for that as I did not think to look at her children's generation.
Thank you for the lead, Evelyn

Catherine Beckley Lower
Anita: Thank you for your work on Find A Grave and the great collection of data you have provided. I am doing research on the Lower family and would like definitive proof of the maiden name of Catherine Rebecca Beckley Lower. Would you put me in contact with Peter Lower Rodgers who provided the information on the Lower’s which you have posted on Find A Grave? I appreciate your help.

RE: Elizabeth Wolf Houtz
Thank you for replying, Anita! I will look into getting the death certificate; the only person listed on her death listing at the courthouse, was her father, John. I am happy to hear that her mother was Sarah Hand-Wolf, of which we suspected, but did not have any proof. Too bad she and John Wendel did not have cemetery markers; noting that Jonathan & Rebecca did. (knowing the family to be lacking funds).

We travelled from Boston each year to do the Houtz genealogy (plus others) and miss doing this, as hubby does not drive distances.

If you know anything about Elizabeth (as a child or even after), I would be "all ears".

Thank you -Anne
