Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my family tree off and on since I was 12 years old (so over 42 years). I feel it is often like a treasure hunt. I enjoy researching for others and enjoy seeing how much information I am able to gather for them.

My love for genealogy came from my father, Rev. Geo. K. Swartzfager. He was a minister and was able to learn and remember family members of most of his parishioners. I seem to have this same ability often to the annoyance of my own family. They often seem to feel this is a curse but I feel it is a blessing that I have gladly inherited.

As I said, I am willing to do research for others. I have several books to assist in this research: Cemeteries of Crawford County, Ohio, Volumes 1, 2A and 3; Marriages of Crawford County, Ohio 1831-1997; History of Crawford County, Ohio; Index of Applications of The Pioneer Families of Crawford County, Ohio; and Families of Crawford County, Ohio 1977-1978.

Please do not make duplicates of people I have added to Find A Grave. I am willing to make transfers whenever the person is not related to my family. I will try to respond/transfer as soon as possible. I enjoy working on Find A Grave and visit cemeteries to take pictures as often as possible. While in a cemetery in Pennsylvania, I met a cousin (living of course). You never know what you may find. A friend says she can't go by a cemetery without thinking of me. My daughter just thinks its creepy. Hopefully someday my children will inherit some of my genealogy insanity.

I'm a Swartzfager, too, living out West
Hi Kathy,
I was fooling around on the computer and happened upon your website where I found out there was another Emma Swartzfager (my 8-year-old daughter's name)living in Pennsylvania who died in 1966. My whole extended family is from Pennsylvania, mainly the Bradford/Smethport/Cyclone area. Do you know any of them? My father, John Swartzfager, is the third child of 11 born in 1934 to John and Elizabeth of Cyclone. My grandfather passed away in 1957, my grandmother in 1994. My dad has several living siblings remaining in Pennsylvania. My parents married in 1956 and moved west to Oregon in 1962, and I was born 3 years later.

I was wondering if there is a connection with the Emma Swartzfager who died in 1966 to my relatives

John Wetherholt
Hi Kathy,

I was wondering, if you aren't connected to John Wetherholt, if you would consider transferring him to me? I would really appreciate it. I have been working hard on his family and would love to hold on to him.

Also have you found any information on his wife Elizabeth in your books that you have? It is stated in an article that she died a few years after him, just not sure if it was there or with other family members elsewhere. Still looking.

Looking forward to hearing back. Thank you for all you do. You definitely make people very happy!

John Wetherholt
Hi, I'm back with some accurate information on John Wetherholt. As you said someone else added the info about his wife being Rebecca and son Thomas. Those are true but not for THIS John. I have found sourced information that this John is related to Henry and Mary Eva Wetherholt. Henry is the son of Johann Nicholas Wetterholt. The John that married to Rebecca Clark is the son of Adam Wetherholt, who is the brother of Henry. The Johns are 1st cousins but lived in two different county's in Ohio. John and Rebecca lived in Gallia County and died there, and the correct John of this tombstone was married to Elizabeth and lived in Crawford county. Could you please either add this info onto the tombstone page or delete the info that states the wrong info. Having wrong info is like a virus...it gets passed on and on which isn't good for anyone. Thank you for you help and kindness.

Roberta F. Bobbi Jenkins
Chantel R Kitzler Riedel Kin
Thank you for your input.

Kitzler-Kin

Her full name according to Find A Grave guidelines is:

Chantel R Kitzler Riedel Kin

4 Parents ???
Born June 4, 1977 in Findlay, she is the daughter of Terry and Julia Kitzler of Carey and Constance (Grace) and Mark Riedel of Epsom, NH

This is a tricky one because she has 4 parents and her last name (married)is Kin.

While she is divorced she maintained the last name of Kin. Probably for her children.

This is a tough one to add

Bobbi

Again thank you
Bobbi

Regarding the Photo
Hello:

I see you have a map on the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Memorial page (Crestline Ohio). The map says Fairview Cemetery - are they one in the same?
Thanks, Sharon
