Cemeteries provide me with an instant state of serenity. They are wonderful places to go and clear my head, as well as spark my imagination as I wonder about all of the people buried there. They are historical, I always learn something new in a cemetery. |
I just read several complaints on another website about findagrave.com. Some people claim that it is morbid and hurtful to the surviving families to take photos of their loved ones' graves. I'm sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree. It is a tribute to those people that have passed on. I hope they come to understand this eventually. Everyone deserves to be remembered, even if it's with the assistance of modern technology and the internet. It's also a fantastic tool for people tracing their family roots.
I have been taking photos of graves for quite some time and have never had one single complaint directed to me yet. I certainly hope I never do, as I feel I'm doing something good, with the intention to honor, not exploit, the deceased.

Please transfer management of Hattie, Anna, Angeline & Stanley WOZNIAK to me, as they are my maternal direct descendants. I have the documentation to verify this. They are buried in the Holy Mother of the Rosary Polish National Catholic Cathedral cemetery. Thank you! meg

Hi, I see you had added a couple of Stulls to this cemetery, so just wanted to let you know that I added a couple more I found. Not sure if you're related but you can check them out if you wish.

Sorry about the non-message. I've got to keep my finger off the enter key when moving from subject to message :>(
I don't feel this was a good photo that I posted for you today. I'm going back tomorrow for some I didn't find today and I will do some cleaning and get a close up so you can read the names and dates.
I have a personal pet peeve with volunteers who fulfill a request with a photo that can't be read, and I'm a better photographer than my effort on your behalf. You deserve better than that. I apologize.
