I am originally from Lake Placid, New York, but now I am retired and live at Oak Hammock at the University of Florida, located in Gainesville. Family history research has been a passion for over 50 years.

Paternal: George, Blackmun, Briggs, Gardiner, Hardy, Kennedy (Canada), Lilley, McCallum, Montgomery, Paxton, Tindall, Thompson (England), Watson and Winch. These families started in New England, New York, and Ontario. Canada. Many of these families moved west after the Civil War.

Maternal: Wilson, Andre, Blessing, Cochran, Coulter, Cross, Doughty, Fiscus, Harl, Jackson, McKinstry, Ross, Semple (Sample), Sober, Stephens and Woodside. There families started in Pennsylvania, but likewise moved west after the Civil War.

Spouse's families: Gibson, Bechtel, Boling, Catron, Clark, (K)Coiner, Combs, Etheridge, Hattabaugh, Hurlbut, Misenheimer and Tarvin. These familties were mainly in Indiana and Missouri.
