Bio Photo FINDAGRAVE guidelines strictly prohibit using anything - shaving cream, flour, cornstarch, any abrasive substance or scraping of headstone. Please refer to the FAQs (Frequently asked questions).

PLEASE DO NOT post picture of grave stone that any of the above methods used for better picture to any memorial we have posted. Thank you!

IF THERE IS ALREADY A PHOTO OF THE HEADSTONE PLEASE DO NOT POST ANOTHER ONE - ONE PHOTO IS ENOUGH. PLEASE PLEASE take the time to edit the photo you post to memorials. A photo upside down, sideways shows a lack of respect.

TRANSFERS: Per FaG guidelines.

For corrections or linking please use EDIT tab - right upper corner on each memorial.

Most, NOT ALL, our memorials were made when we walked cemetery and recorded from stone. We prefer to leave names as they were recorded from stone and enter suggested names added to bio section.*** FaG guidelines per names as follows (does not mention the old custom of wife using Mrs. preface to husband's given name. I did the first request and changed Mrs. John Doe to her given name and sure enough now there is a duplicate. I have check further for clarification of the new naming convention.

George Washington Burchfield
This is my 2nd great grandfather. He had three wives. You have missed his first wife. She was Sarah Hill and the mother of John William Burchfield and three other children. She died in Texas after giving birth. The baby also died. George brought 3 children home to TN. His oldest son, Joseph was killed by lightning. This left my grandfather as his oldest child and one daughter.

RE: Miller Funeral Home
Hi DeAnna,

I have access to Miller's Funeral Home records from 1941 to 2001. I did not see Ray or Beulah Brewer listed among those records. If you can give me Beulah's maiden name, I might be able to check another source. I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

I photographed Beech Springs yesterday & during my photo posting I noticed that Jesse's dates are. I did not have the stone with the cross on it, so I'm wondering if the larger stone replaced it. I will leave the decision of the dates up to you since there appears to be 2 stones. I will be returning there tomorrow morning when it's cool and will try to located this/these stone to see if he actually has 2 stones. Michelle

RE: Kathleen Woods
You are kind to take the time to offer an explanation of your understanding of the site, and I appreciate that you posted my additional facts in her bio. That felt like a good compromise!
I have photos of Kathleen. Would you like me to post one on her page or would you prefer that I didn't?
Thanks, again.

Thank you for adding her maiden name "Bewley."
I would be grateful if you would share the info you have regarding her full name. If my records are wrong, I'd like to correct them. I'm also wondering if Kathleen is in your family, too. You can leave me a message on my Find a Grave page.

Hello! Thank you for all you have done on Find a Grave.

I recently received an auto-generated email that you had declined an edit I had sent to you. I read your bio and didn't request a transfer because it's my understanding that though we were close while she was living, she is my great aunt and therefore outside the Find A Grave guidelines for transfers.

I believe that the information I provided is correct. She was named Nannie Kathleen Bewley at birth. She married Haskel White with whom she had a daughter, but Haskel was killed in an accident in 1947. Much later in her life, 1973, she married Hollis Woods. I loved Aunt Kathleen dearly, and I am simply trying to provide future researchers with information.

Your re-consideration would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tinsley, Hill, Jones & extended families
First of all I would like to thank you for giving of yourselves to help others. May God richly bless you each for your hard work and talents used for Find A Grave. You are helping MANY people. I have been making this journey of family building since the 80's and for many years toured many cemeteries seeking relatives. Now because of my age and poor health I am unable to go in person but thanks to you an others I can still visit their graves, see their head stones. I hope you will not mind my making copies of your photos for my Ancestry and Family Tree Maker family files. I am trying to leave my descendants and other extended family a good picture of their heritage. Again many thanks for your dedication to helping others.
