I live in the North GA mountains and love it. My favorite pastime is roaming cemeteries and taking pics, not just for myself but for others.
Always excites me when it helps someone who is unable to get it themselves. Glad to help, and if you need transfers or anything, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to help you any way I can. Feel free to use any of my photos, I share good!

My lines out of
Franklin County and Banks County are Kesler/Segars/Cheek/Norton. Barrow County, GA - Attaway/Peppers/Greeson/Cheek.

RE: Joseph Phillips @ Grey Hill
Hi, Pat,
I was working on this last night. The 22nd is based on the Georgia Death Records, but I find mistakes in death records, birth records, and on tombstones, so without several sources saying the same thing, I have no objection to you just going with what you feel. I didn't look at the tombstone. It may be the correct one.

I have an ancestor whose name, I think, after extensive research was Aetie. On her tombstone it says Eighty. I guess they just pronounced it, and the engraver, without telephones or email, just engraved it how he imagined it. Then I have a death certificate of my great grandmother which gives the wrong father for her and that was provided by my grandfather.

Thanks for asking.

Massey @ Bethany
Pat: Many thanks for the picture you made for me of R. T. Massey at Bethany. Seems to be a fitting memorial to one who gave all for his country.

RE: Riley-Bolton Cemetery, Banks Co, GA
Hi There Pat,

No, it's not overgrown at all. It's very well maintained and easily accessible from the main road - you can drive right up to the cemetery. Enjoy your visit!
