I enjoy findagrave.com because I may look at the history of the people of this great nation as well as other countries too. I am activly involved in the Sevier County Historical Society and am honored to connect families from across the nation that have ties to the Great Smoky Mountains.
I love to see people who have made Gospel Music to have their part on this site. It's great to go see graves of famous people too! I am a Ham Radio Operator- KJ4SUW and hold an Extra license. I am also a Lifetime member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). Finally I became a proud US Citizen on Sept. 22, 1995.

Thank you Paul

Thanks for your response. What happened to Charlotte? everyone seemed shocked by the suddenness of her death. There is a picture of her on her Facebook page that was taken the morning of the day she died. Is her husband buried at the same cemetery? I live in North Alabama but my brother lives in Knoxville and I always enjoyed getting to watch the Mulls on T.V. when I was there and I was blessed to attend one of J. Bazzel's concerts at the Tennessee Theatre.

Paul, do you know of a cemetery that is called
something like Wo?lards or Wo?lords. I have a copy of a death certificate for Ben C. Atchley and it list this cemetery. However, the ink is really messed up on the cemetery name. It's more than likely located around the Boyds Creek area, it list his address as Boyds Creek. Any help would be appreciated.

|Mike Gourley||RE: Parton Cemetery|
Paul, the Parton Cemetery is located on a side trail off the Old Settlers trail in the Greenbrier section of the National Park. Approx. 1/2 mile from the trail head there is a trail that drops off the left side of Old Settlers. It is not an official trail and is not marked. The trail is not hard to follow and I would say the cemetery is about a quarter mile from Old Settlers. You can't miss it as you will see a short trail on the left that goes only a few feet to the cemetery. Not sure if this link will work for you:
If not just look up GoSmokies.com then do a search for the blog Risky Business. I have a couple GPS maps in the blog. On my map the cemetery is marked 0039.

Thanks for making the links for Rupert Foster's parents! I know that you can't change Eliza's memorial but just wanted you to know in case you went to her memorial & questioned the middle initial.
I appreciate your help! Jayne
