Bio Photo The living come with grassy tread
To read the gravestones on the hill;
The graveyard draws the living still,
But never anymore the dead.
The verses in it say and say:
"The ones who living come today
To read the stones and go away
Tomorrow dead will come to stay."
So sure of death the marbles rhyme,
Yet can't help marking all the time
How no one dead will seem to come.
What is it men are shrinking from?
It would be easy to be clever
And tell the stones: Men hate to die
And have stopped dying now forever.
I think they would believe the lie.

Thanks for your response. She is located in Cedar Lawn Cemetery just outside of Rich Square, North Carolina in Northampton County. Her number is 86543843 and it looks like you entered her information on 03 10 12. Thanks, Joe Brown Jr.

Dear Madam,
Mrs. Spivey is my great grandmother.
I have published evidence that say her parents were Dudley W. Harris and Annie Elizabeth Fish who were married on 11 02 1871. My information could be wrong. Do you remember where your information came from? Thanks, Joe Brown

child of Sallie Boone Mitchell
Thank you for posting information related to Charles F. "Charlie" Mitchell and his wife Sallie Boone Mitchell, my great grandparents. I'm trying to locate the grave of their daughter Margaret Mitchell Busbee who died in 1936 but have had no luck. Any information you have would be helpful.

Luella Langston Carter
Could you verify the birth and death dates for memorial #96235805, Luella Langston Carter? The death certificate (487 - 106) in at Henderson County, NC cites 5 April 1860 as the birth date and 13 November 1928 as the death date.

What is your source for the W. L. C. tombstone that you say is William Copeland's tombstone?

I am related to a Jesse Britton (~1751-~1841). I have found information indicating he is buried in the Britton Family Cemetery, near New Hope Church, Lasker, NC. I had assumed this was what I found on-line as New Hope United Methodist Cemetery, now "signed" as Pin Hook Cemetery. But in the Find-A-Grave records I do not see a Jesse Britton listed for this cemetery. Do you have any knowledge of a Jesse Britton grave, or a possible separate Britton Family Cemetery?

I think perhaps #120390127 is a duplicate of # 120390119. Thanks for all your submissions.

Thank you for all your hard work in all you do, to get information out to families, on

You must have worked on the overgrown graveyard at the Baggett-Joynor-Minton graveyard.

This is the family graveyard of Nathan Baggett. My grand parents are William Cleveland Nelson and Addie Mae Baggett. Addie was the daughter of John Thomas Baggett, Sr and a "Sallie" Parker.

I have been away from North Carolina since 1956, as I was only 11 years old at the time.

May have more information for you if you would like to receive for other family members searching for their relatives. And yes, it is my understanding that both William and Addie are both buried at the Nathan Baggett family graveyard, along with their son, Raymond Dore Nelson; I am named after this relative, my mother's brother.

There was another graveyard out in the middle of a field closeby, that apparently has been moved, close to the Nathan graveyard. Are you aware of such a graveyard being moved from that area?

Thank you so much, again for all you do to help others. Only regret I cannot assist to physically help take care of my ancestors final resting place. I am now 68 years old.
