Bio Photo MISSION: I believe Find A Grave's mission first and foremost is to document cemeteries; to accurately record graves, not to build one's family tree.

Find A Grave FAQs says: Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

Find a Grave memorials [may] contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can leave remembrances via 'virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.

TRANSFERS (PLEASE READ): Per Find A Grave FAQs, Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred.

I will consider making out-of-guideline transfers on a case-by-case basis. Please tell me your specific relationship to the one you want transferred to you. I need specifics not vague statements such as this is my family member, my relative or they are in my family tree. IF YOU AREN'T SPECIFIC, I WILL IGNORE/DELETE YOUR REQUEST. Please be considerate when asking.

This is guidelines set forth by Find A Grave. If you don't agree with them, please take it up with Find A Grave.

HI,
You are correct to observe that his formal name is Douglas Maxwell McKenzie.
His family name is Max...so...I think that it is better to use the 'longer form' on his memorial.

Douglas Maxwell McKenzie...

thank you for noticing this.

Jean

Thanks for letting me know. I have deleted mine. I'm working on this cemetery and have been for over year and six months and have dozens of duplicates where contributors just want cooperate. I only have one that is very good at deleting her's. My goal is to have photo's on every memorial. You if find any others of mine that are a duplicate, please let me know. Have great week-end. Henry

I know I saw that which was strange. I really like working with you. I have over 20 duplicates and no cooperates like you. If they don't, I'll just send the list to FindAGrave and let them decide. Thanks again so much. Henry

I had been looking for this marker and the spot where he was suppose to be buried was not marker. Monday I ask the grounds supervisor and he said it should be right here. So he called the office and she gave him BL-C-4. So he said I'll make a marker and it will be down Monday. Today I saw him and he said it down but there was one already there it was covered up with dirt. I told him about another one and he check it as sure enough it was covered over with dirt. Once I get all of the photo's that I can. I going back and those that said had no marker except the ones in Block 1 Grave 5-7 or 8 already know about those. Just thought I would let you know. Thanks, Henry

I don't know but just thought I would let you know and let you decide what you wanted to do since it was your memorial. I'll tell I'm finding alot of errors over there. One in babyland had no marker and the supervisor of grounds called the office and she told him exactly where I told him and he said he would make a marker. So many are buried in same gave and second one that was buried last name not on marker. Thanks for all you cooperation and help. Henry
