Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love exploring cemeteries, and now that I'm on Find-A-Grave I bring my camera.

I shoot/index:
-- Names/people on my tree (or possibly on my tree)
-- Really old stones (died before 1900), especially if they look in fairly bad shape and I think I can get all the info off them
-- Neat-looking stones (I'm a font junkie)
-- Stones that seem to tell a story

... and then any other graves or markers associated with that one. I try to get the whole family grouping, because I can't tell you how many times I've found one member of a family plot indexed online and not all the others. Frustrating!

If a gravestone I have photographed is useful to you for historical or genealogical reasons, feel free to use my photo for nonprofit purposes, as long as you credit it to me by name.

If you are related to one of my memorials under Find-A-Grave's guidelines, I am happy to transfer its management to you. Please use the 'edit' link on the memorial so it tells me precisely who you were talking about, and include your relationship to the deceased.

When I know I'm going to a certain cemetery, I'll print off the list of photo-requests, but I don't exhaustively check every single stone: if I pass it and I notice it's a name on the list with an outstanding request, I'll fulfill it.

If you live in Chicago too and might like to go graving together, toss me an email!

Thank you for the message. I clearly don't know the language, but was trying to help by transcribing while I have a few minutes here and there. Hoping to do more good than harm, but maybe not in this case. It is good to learn something new! And I'm thankful to others who are knowledgeable in these things. As a transcriber I can't go back and change it, the creater of the memorial will have to be contacted through the edit button. Thank you again for the message.

I never mind duplicated photos when they are better quality. So thank you! I removed mine. If you do come across more that you can duplicate with a better photo, let me know and I will remove mine once yours is posted.

RE: Connertons in Alsip
Thanks for transferring maintenance of the memorials to me. Maybe I'll run into you sometime in HS cemetery -- I have more family graves to visit.

Dear Elliott, Thank you for adding my Great Aunt, Regina R (Brezinski) Zima to Find-A-Grave. She was the 13th child of Frank and Kristina Brezinski. Please add her parents to Regina's memorial.

In addition, here are Regina's birth & death dates: 19 Aug 1912-7 Aug 1964. Thanks also for permitting me to use your pictures. My mother, Adele (Hunter) Czepiel has fond memories of her Aunt Reggie.

Many Thanks

That's great! Wunder's is a neat cemetery; an interesting mix of older German headstones and more modern ones. I also enjoy Bohemian National and Zion Gardens. Practically every Chicago cemetery has a very interesting history!

Great. Many thanks for the picture of his marker, especially the close-up of his picture!
