Ruia Maria Hager Middlemist McCabe HI Amanda, I want o let you know that the grave for Ruia is unmarked where no stone has been placed, She is buried next to Walter Middlemist, however he does not have a stone either. The are buried in the Middlemist plot along with Austin Middlemist and Amy Davis...no stones either. I can provide you an area photo if you'd like.
RE: Black Oak Cemetery I can probably fix you a map and send it to your email on how to reach the cemetery. You will have to cross private property to reach it and I've heard the Sheriff's department has a key, but you still have to procure permission of the landowner before you cross his/her property. When I visited the cemetery, I and a friend hiked into it. I am not sure if I can remember the exact location of your ancestor, but I will give it some thought and do the best I can to remember the location. Write me at my email address: email@example.com and I will fix you a map and send it to you at your email address.
You may want to add this info to Ellen French's memorial page: Maiden name: BURKE Age at death: 65
Born Ellen Burke c.1822, Mrs. French had married twice. Her first husband was a man named Foy, and after his death, she became the second wife of a widower, Thomas French. She lies interred in the plot of her son from this second marriage, the noted Capt. Thomas French, who served in Custer's 7th Cavalry and was among those who survived the Little Big Horn battle.
