RE: Mary Frances Denney Hi Tony, No, I was at the library and pulled the marriage books for Douglas County, it could be when the person was transcribing it, or as you said, they used different spellings. Thank you Judy
34487621 Elizabeth Ann Hightower If you are not related to Elizabeth Ann Hightower would you mind transferring her memorial to me 47496857. She is my 3rd Great Grandmother. If you are related I would love to know your connection. Thank you, Laura
Charles Thomas Thorn Hello Tony, I have a question about Charles Thomas Thorn #16946359 Old Burleson Cemetery, Franklin County Alabama. You have him listed as Charles Thomas Thorn but I believe him to be Charles Q (Quinn) Thorn my 3rd Great Grandfather. My wife and I visited this Cemetery last weekend and his stone clearly says Charles Q. Thorn. I'm just wonder how you came to conclusion of Thomas? Thanks Mark
RE: Marjorie Douglas Brannon Tony, In the early days, 80+ years ago, everyone knew each other, and everyone would be glad to help each other in time of need. My Grandpa, Mr. Henry Ennis and his family, Pearl, James, Virginia, and Elise was going to or coming from Co., when their car broke down. At that time when a R.R. car could no longer be used, the R.R. would then move the car off the tracks to the side. My Grandpa and family had took up in one of the cars for shelter for a couple of days and nights. Mr. Brannon just happen to be going back to Highfill, stopped and gave them a ride back home. My mother Virginia told this story to me. She also said she couldn't remember to well, but that Mr. Brannon drove, my Grandpa rode in the front. My Grandma, James, Virginia, and Elise rode in the back, and that the windows had curtains. Maybe that would help in what time period that could have been. Hope this bit of time past has helped.
