Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been climbing around
on my Family Tree, swinging
on it's branches, and digging
at it's roots for over
30 years, (since 1975).
I have been widowed since 1991, retired in 2005.
I LOVE Find-A-Grave. It is a wonderful
asset to the genealogy world.
If I've created a record that someone
needs to correct, update or add
information, please let me know and
I'll be glad to add your information
for you;... or if the person is your
direct family member, and you would
like to have me transfer "ownership"
of that memorial page to you, please
let me know...If that person is not
related to me and they are directly
related to you; I will be glad to
transfer their memorial to you.
However, I want to note:
Nearly all of the memorials that I
have created are connected to my
family tree and are a result of a
lot of years hard work and research.

To all the members who have been
kind enough to transfer "ownership"
of my family members to me....
I THANK YOU!
Find A Grave is one of my favorite
sites.
It has given me a place that I can
remember my loved ones and honor
their memory.

If you have time, please leave a flower
for my dear husband, Roy E. Hughes.

Thanks for the transfer. I'm not much of a flower person, but I did write a quick bio tonight and added the tribute his daughter Ophelia wrote after his death. I'll add more as time goes on.

Thank you LoRetta, This family was one not much known because of a death and then a divorce so finding this family and putting it back together has been very meaningful for me and now they will be there for others to find also. <3

Beaver family
Thanks for the corrections and edits. This has been one of the most complicated families I've worked on. Mostly shrouded in mystery and an unwillingness to talk about this. Note that John L. Beaver was the father of my Aunt. There were marriages of cousins, sisters, etc, and the family doesn't talk with my family. But all our Parents generation is now gone.
What made this interesting, I received edits from both you and Carol Griffin for the Bost family on the same day!

Bessie Splawn
I found an obituary for Bessie Splawn, who is buried at Lyle-Balch Cemetery that you might be interested in having for the Find A Grave burial record:

POPULAR GIRL DIED
Miss Bessie Splawn Succumbs to Ravages of Consumption, Aged 21 Years.

Miss Bessie Splawn died at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. K. Oilar, in this city Thursday evening, after an illness of consumption extending over many months. Miss Splawn accompanied her father to Dallas from Eastern Washington about two years ago, and was taken ill a short time after arriving here. She underwent treatment at some of Portland's best hospitals, and also sought relief in the mountain air of the Alsea country, but the disease refused to yield to any treatment, and for several weeks before her death she had been unable to leave her room.
Miss Splawn was the youngest daughter of Frank M. Splawn, an old time resident of Polk county. She was born in Washington, and spent her childhood days on her father's farm in Klickitat county. She was 21 years old at the time of her death. Miss Bessie had many friends, and her early death will be mourned by all.
The remains were taken to Klickitat county, where they will be laid to rest beside those of her mother, who died many years ago.

First Thank you for your time and efforts on Find A Grave. These entries are so very helpful.
In Ref to this entry in particular:

I have put in an edit for her birth year. If she was 80 when she died in 1875 as shown on Gravestone, she was born in 1795 not 1809. Though most of the census entries would show her born in 1799. [1850-50] [1860-60] [1870-66 which is 4 years off!] Maybe it was a ladys vanity not to be too much older then her husband?

Charles W. Bass
Hi, I am looking for a Charles W. Bass that was the County Clerk in St. Clair County, Missouri from 1935-1942. That is ALL the info I have. Is there any indication this Charles was ever in Missouri?

Thanks,
Peggy

Kathy Alvis Patterson
Boyerstown Koser family
Hi,
Can you tell me if the memorial for Jacob Kuser (1754-1826) is for an actual gravestone or recorded grave, or if it is a "virtual" grave?
Thanks,
Kathy
