I started Genealogy a couple of years ago when my Grammy Beverly Grzywa started telling me stories and showing me pictures of her parents Clara and Leon Lukaszewski who was a pharmacist and owned L.S. Lukaszewski Drugs in Detroit MI , my grandfather Daniel Grzywa who was also a pharmacist and owned Trancick's pharmacy in Detroit MI, and other family members who were very close to her heart. My other Grandma Betty Jane Pletcher also sparked my interest for genealogy by telling me how her father John Gonsey came to the US from Hungary, and got a job with twin pines Dairy as a milk man for the entire down river Detroit area. She also showed me pictures and told me stories of her husband Forrest Pletcher who was born in Pennsylvania, and was a child of a broken home. Knowing he had to support his mother and siblings, he dropped out of school in the eighth grade and moved to Detroit and got a job as a carpenter and how their son Charles now offers a scholarship every year to carpenter students every year in my grandpa's name. |
I started with researching my main family lines, but my research kept growing and growing. The
main families I am researching are... Pletcher- Somerset Co. Pa, Grzywa, Detroit MI and Poland.
Gonczy/ Gonsey Detroit MI and Hungary,and Lukaszewski Chicago IL., and Poland.
If you need info. on any of these names I will be glad to share that with you.
Also I have made a virtual cemetery for memorials I have either created or visited that I thought could use an extra flower, I named it Angels in Need of Flowers If you know of a person's memorial that should be added to this list please let me know.
I will gladly transfer management of any of my memorials to you only if you are a direct descendant of that person, and that person is not a direct descendant of me.
Feel free to use any of the info, and pics. I upload to find a grave for your own geneaology reasons.
I Do NOT MIND!
Corrections, Please use the correction tab for any and all corrections this sends me an email with a link to the person you are needing a correction for. I will try to correct the problem within 24 hours.
If you need any other information on any of the names I am researching please visit my family Tree. The link to it is listed below under Website.
ANCESTORS OF YESTERDAY
Ancestors of so long ago,
I'll search until I find.
Till I can prove and clearly show,
that you are truly mine.
I'll follow behind your trail of tears,
the hidden footprints of time.
Covered and buried throughout the years,
and continue each mountain to climb.
I'll search every faraway seaside shore,
and every valley below.
I'll unlock each and every door,
as my own teardrops flow.
I'll unearth the buried History of you,
and your own Ancestral kin,
I'll search for that all important clue,
and open my heart to let you in.

Hi! Yes, you can use the photos on your family tree provided the copyright statement below remains intact by the photo.

Also, if you have the uncentered Felix Lukaszewski grave marker photo removed I can replace it with a high resolution well centered photo. Please let me know if the other photo is eventually removed.

|Ace||Walter Lukaszewski at St. Mary's Cemetery|
Hi! The grave marker I found shows the following.
1. Walter Lucas, 1893 - 1959, husband
2. Lucy Lucas, 1897 - 1956, wife
On a second grave marker:
3. Felix Lukaszewski, 1864 - 1956
Is this the correct Walter, but they shortened the last name? If so, please let me know.
If Walter and Lucy Lucas are not related, then there is no grave marker for them.
If these are related, please add photo requests for Lucy and Felix and I will post the photos I took.

No thank you. I am not related. This confusion happened while I searched for our George Lambert. I found our Uncle George!! So all is well. Except you may want to remove his birth being in UTAH on 102750230. I believe that's left over from my error. THANKS AGAIN!!!
|Donna Cox Beveridge||IMPORTANT Memorial 102750230|
I sent you TWO edits for George Alexander Lambert #102750230 that are NOT CORRECT! Please DENY these two edits for birthplace and parental links. I am so so sorry for the inconvenience!
|Joseph G. Benning Sr||Harry Morey Callahan|
I was trying to locate Mr. Callahan's information on the Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton, GA. The VA National Cemetery locator web site shows no record of a Harry Morey Callahan being buried there. Since you are the Creator of his memorial page, I was hoping that the VA had made a mistake and it needed to be corrected or removed. Many thanks for your help in this matter.

|Lisa Garrett||Mary Ida Pletcher Miller|
Take a look at Memorial# 91254988. Her death certificate names her parents as Samuel Pletcher and Phoebe Neimiller. Informant was her husband Wesley A. Miller, who when he died 2 years later was noted to be senile. Any chance he got Phoebe and Evie mixed up? The 8May1863 birthdate matches the birthdate you have listed for Eve's daughter Mary Ann in her bio. I can email a copy of the death certificate if you'd like.
