Simply enjoy genealogy and preserving history.|
I make mistakes if you tell me, I will fix them.
If they are family, I will gladly transfer.
My aim is to honor the past. Items added to biographies are typically information I receive via email from unknown contributors and post to memorial. I do NOT fact check so take it for what it's worth...further research.
THE STORY TELLERS by unknown
We are the chosen. My feelings are, in each family, there is one who seems
called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live
again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and
approve. To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but,
instead, breathing life into all those who have gone before. We are the
storytellers of the tribe. All tribes have one.
We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before
cry out to us: Tell our story.

I contacted the cemetery in hopes to find out which Baggett this maybe. I was informed that is Eveline Wallace, she is buried in the Wallace family plots and no Baggett's are located around her, the dates they have on file also match Eveline Wallace. She has a memorial page 7116463. Thank you.

Carol, just to let you know this memorial is a duplicate of Memorial #83009218, both created by you on the same date. Would you please delete the duplicate #83009215. It has no Headstone and the other Memorial #83009218 does. Please don't be offended, we all make mistakes, even me! Ha, Ha.
Thanks and Many Blessings.
Thanks for posting the bio to William Van Herring's memorial.
|Cynthia Russell||Mary Hammond Maddox|
You left out one of Mary's and Joel's children, Emily who was my great grandmother.
Her name is Emily (Emma) Henrietta Newton James
Born to Joel and Mary on 20 December 1846 in Sumpter Co., Alabama and died December 1.1886 in Travis Co. She is buried in Old Oak Cemetery in Austin. She married Edward Lomax James
I don't know if you are just a transcriber or a distant cousin. But thank you for honoring my great grandmother X2.

Carol, You have 2 memorials for the same person. One you have listed as Laura Woods (memorial# 28032322) and the other you have listed as Laura A. Wood (memorial# 28032352), buried at Marsh Cemetery in Marshall County, Tennessee. They are the same person...I have submitted an edit to the memorial of Laura A. Wood (# 28032352), with her maiden name and birth/death info, as well as a link to her parents and husband, W J Wood.
|MTRogers||Eli Ramsbottom Memorial# 57658866|
I think that Eli Ramsbottom's death date is actually April 17, 1899. If you look closely at the photo when zoomed in, you can see April 1899, not November. That would also make his birthdate July 18, 1849, if I did the math correctly.

|Dorothy Mills||McCurdy family|
I manage the Find A Grave site for the Pearce-Maxwell Cemetery in Wilson County Texas. I would love to find decendents of a family buried there: Rev. George Hill McCurdy 1832-1869, James McCurdy 15 days in 1866, Georgiana McCurdy 1879-1885, and twins Elton and Edith 1879-1880. Each tombstone is broken and damaged by years of neglect. I am attempting to restore the cemetery and looking for anyone who can help.
