Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'am not related to most of the people in the memorials that I have created, but someone is, and the memorials might (and have) help them find that long-lost loved one. I have!!!!

Anyone may use my tombstone pictures for their own personal use, no credit needed.

I do not add memorials to Findagrave, to see how many I can get (Please don't assume that I do.) I do Findagrave so the final resting place of people, can be found and they can be remembered. Everyone deserves that!!

I DO MY BEST TO MAKE SURE THE INFORMATION I ADD IS CORRECT, BUT IF I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE, (AND EVERYONE DOES), IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL, AND I WILL BE GLAD TO CORRECT IT, BUT PLEASE ASK POLITELY, (I will not answer rude or mean comments), and please use the edit button, that is just above the pictures on each memorial, for leaving information, such as adding links, bios, corrections, and requesting transfers, and include your Findagrave member number. Makes it so much easier to make those edits and transfers.
(I do not make transfers or edits from messages left below.)

We are all volunteers, there is no need for anyone to act like they are the FindAgrave police.
Thank You!!

RE: Charlie again
Hi Patty -

I would LOVE that !!

My email is rlshumer@gmail.com

It's interesting to me because my son is named Taylor - as in Taylor Charles after my grandpa Charles K. Dunn. They were very, very close - my parents lived next door and my grandparents lived two streets down & over up until about a year before Grandpa died. My grandmother is still living - just turned 96 and healthy !!

I remember both Aunt Blanche and Aunt Iva !!! We attended many family reunions in MO with my grandparents & great grandparents. My sister and I visited every summer.

Thank you !!

RE: Charlie again
Hi,

My grandfather, Charles Kenneth Dunn, always swore up & down that his grandmother was Cherokee and had walked the trail of tears. Apparently when he was a child, she lived with them briefly. I never found any proof, but would love to. My great grandmother, Leora Smiley Dunn, had a favorite story about visiting "the reservation" with Charlie (Charles Franklin Dunn, my great granddad) it had to do with a high ranking Indian wife who had prepared dinner for them. Grandmother Dunn asked her how she got the meat so tender, and the woman told her she had pre-tenderized it (using her own teeth) She also said that her husband's family had Native American blood, but that it was very hush hush due to the stigma back then of having "Indian blood" - her words, not mine. Looking at my grandpa's distinctive nose and his brother, my Uncle Jack, and even Granddad Charlie's, it's believable.
I'd love to know the results of your research ! I adored my granddad and my grandfather was as close to me as my Dad (we all lived in the same neighborhood for 25 years)....I lost them both just a few months apart in 2007.
