Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a husband, father, minister, musician, and writer. I am from the Methodist tradition and have discovered over 30 clergy on my family tree. One 4th great grandfather, Levi Garrison, was a Methodist circuit rider ordained by Francis Asbury. About a dozen Garrison pastors from early Georgia history were his relatives, along with Meaders, Hagood, and Quillian relatives who were preachers. Another 4th great grandfather, Thomas Maxwell, an early Baptist pioneer pastor in Georgia, was jailed and persecuted for his faith and was defended by Patrick Henry. A 3rd great grandfather, Isaac Taylor, was one of a trio of brothers who were early circuit riders in Alabama and Mississippi development. This tradition of ministry was passed down to nearby generations, including my father, both of my grandfathers, and several uncles and cousins. And if that weren't enough ... I married a Methodist clergywoman, who is herself descended from a dozen clergy relatives! I am also proud of my roots among the farmers, machinists, civil engineers, military servants, and homemakers in North Alabama and North Georgia, part of the fabric of who I am.

My family lines that I research include West, Hagood, Wills, Thompson, Garrison, Quillian, Maxwell, Mitchell, Hamby, Clark, Taylor, Williams, Holland, Price, and Arendale.

RE: Pictures
Thank you. It appears they have all been taken care of. I am related. Thanks for the offer, but I already manage the ones I am related to. Keep up the good work!

RE: Pictures
Most all of the McCrelles photos you added were. I think John and Pearlie was the only one that was right side up. :)

I am not sure why they aren't showing sideways. There are several of them. I even had a friend to look at them. Maybe try logging out, and then looking again. I guess it doesn't hurt to leave them, just wanted you to be aware of them.

Would you mind deleting the photo you uploaded to memorial 105076393. It uploaded sideways. Thank you. :)

RE: Mattie Mason Maxwell
Hello! I thought I would let you know that I not only have the letters re: Mattie Mason and a small number of postcards, but there is an "autograph" book of hers as well that has a written note in it from her father as well as from her friends (it's a thin little book), and a hymn book with Mattie's mother's name in it (Mary Roark), and a daily scripture book that may have belonged to Mattie's father. It has J R Mason written inside the front cover. There is also an undated, hand-written letter signed J R Mason. I need to find a box for it all (if you're wanting everything), but right now, postage is coming to roughly $2.69 or so. All the items cost $9.63 from the antique mall.

Please let me know if this is acceptable, and I can get these items out in tomorrow's mail.

P.S. Please email me - there were a few other things I took photos of that I wondered if you might be interested in. I'd like to send you the photos.

68535249 Mattie Mason Maxwell
Hello! I was wondering if you might be interested in some correspondence involving Mattie Mason Maxwell? I was at an antique mall earlier this evening, and saw some letters and postcards having to do with Mattie. If you're interested, I would be willing to go buy them and send them to you, if you might be willing to reimburse me for the purchase price. I don't think it would be very much, but if you're interested, I can check into it for you. I can go back out tomorrow.

Let me know!

Marie Nail-
Parents of Rev. Thomas Wesley Garrison Sr.
Ok, now I am really confused after reading an excerpt from The History of Banks County Georgia by Julia Mize. How can Thomas Wesley be the son of Jedediah Garrison and Jane Williams and also the son of his own brother, Caleb Garrison and Martha Catherine "Katie" Morgan?

Hope I have transferred the correct one. If not let me know.
Have a blessed week.
