Family research has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I do volunteer work at the LDS Family History Center located in my neighborhood even though I am not Mormon. I call myself the gentile librarian. I live on the west side of Houston in Katy. I was born in Waco, Texas and go there every few months to be with family. Many of my family members are buried in the Robinson Cemetery south of Waco going back to my great-great-grandmother. Growing up in Robinson, a farming community at the time, was a wonderful experience. |
At the age of fifteen my parents and I moved to Texarkana, Texas. I completed high school and junior college in Texarkana. While attending UT my parents moved back to Robinson. I did six months of active duty in the Marine Corps and five and a half years in the reserve program. After completing the six months active duty, I moved to Houston, TX to seek my fortune. I would have to say my wife, children and grandchildren are my fortune. I am happily married and retired and have eight grandchildren which add joy to my life. If you think I can help you, feel free to contact me.
If you have any corrections or additions to a memorial, please let me know. If you would like for me to transfer a memorial, please let me know.

Thanks for taking a look at it, and also for sending word about the duplicate memorials.
I haven't found a memorial (yet!) for Arthur's wife Sydney, but if I find it, will let you know so you can link your memorials for their children.
Edits made--thank you for sending the information. Your requests were the first I've received on the new edit system--cool!
I added a link for his father Samuel, but it looks like there are two memorials for Kate Glenny in that cemetery--same dates, same gravestone photo.
Kate Glenny #116387658
Catherine "Kate" Glenny #95459902
I agree with you that his mother's name is Kate Glenny, but in the census records I've found for her--1870,1880,1900,1910 and 1920--her birth year is 1848, or "about 1848" and not 1837.
Kate Glenny in that cemetery has a death year of 1912, but Arthur's mother Kate Glenny appears in the 1920 Census.
Also, the person who created one of those memorials has Kate linked to spouse William Glenny and not Samuel Glenny.
Is it possible that we are looking for a different Kate Glenny?
Would you take a look at those two existing memorials for Kate and let me know what you make of it? Thanks!

Thank you so very much for the Bailey transfers. I never thought I'd find their graves but thanks to you and Find A Grave I now not only know where they are buried but have headstone pictures as well!

That "sunrise" is actually the flash. I had a little trouble getting the inscription clearly.
