Michael, thank you for your interest in this problem. So glad to get the hands in motion to resolve the matter. I enjoyed our conversation even though it was late, lol. Hope to hear soon that this is resolved. Shirley
|Shirley (Price) Newman||RE: Jones-Parr Cemetery|
Oops I either deleted my reply or totally lost it. I'll start over. Thanks for your reply, Michael. Since I sent my original message to you, I did some more investigation, and photos and GPS on F-A-G is not for the "Jones"/"Jones-Parr" Cemetery. We live in Boone County and have been to the real cemetery numerous times and have several photos. The "Parr-Jones" Cemetery (which is actually the "Richardson-Parr" Cemetery) is shown on E 1100 N in Big Springs. Our cemetery is north of that location and not even marked on F-A-G. You can find it by using the Earth View, following E 1100 N north to 300 N, turn west to the first property on the south side of the road, follow their drive past the house, barns and other out buildings. If you enlarge the view, you will see the stones in the cemetery. This is the correct location. I think I was able to get the GPS but not certain, this was near the arch on the northeast corner of the cemetery. (40.082212,-86.268803) Could the correct information be used to create the proper cemetery location along with photo of entrance? This really needs to be set straight. Help, help. If you would like to discuss this matter I could send you my phone # in a private message. Thanks for your help.
|Shirley (Price) Newman||"Parr-Jones" Cemetery|
Hi Michael. Wow just stumbled onto this F-A-G Cemetery in Boone County, Indiana. Actually, it was because we are in the process of listing Harmon and Eleanor (Jones) Newman in the proper cemetery. We didn't think this cemetery was on F-A-G. Here is our problem. Apparently, there are 3 names for this cemetery, Jones (on the plat at the Recorder Office), Jones-Parr (a listing of burials at the Lebanon Library), and Parr-Jones on F-A-G. My husband's family always referred to the cemetery as the "Jones Cemetery". Now here is where it gets even more interesting, there is a Jones Cemetery in the south part of Boone County (different GPS) and you will find Harmon and Eleanor (Jones) Newman listed in that cemetery on F-A-G, but they are NOT buried there. My husband's cousin listed them there because she knew the name "Jones Cemetery" (however, it's the wrong location). I guess what I'm asking is, where did you find the name "Parr-Jones Cemetery", and are you related to the Parr and Jones families? Hope this hasn't been too confusing. LOL Thanks for your help with this situation. Shirley (Price) Newman, wife of Melvin E. Newman
|Nancy Merrill Sayed||youe picture and our Brighams|
Hi, Michael. Was just going over some old messages, and saw your picture. You look SO much like my nephew. It is really quite a striking resemblance :-)
Second, I noticed that you are related through the Willson/Brigham line. Here is my line: me, my father, his mother (Eliza Antoinette Francis), her mother (Eudora Edwards), her father (Wm. Henry Edwards), his parents (Louisa Looney Brigham and Jesse Edwards), Louisa's parents (William Brigham and Jean Willson). So that's us :-)
I am on facebook at Nancy Merrill Sayed, and my email is nsayed6266 at aol.com. Or you can contact me here, but I don't check here too often lately.
Hope you have a great new year!
Your cousin, Nancy

The information that I sent to you by way of edits (place of birth and wife) was found in his obit that was published in the Republican Courier, Findlay, Ohio. (10/24/1974 page 8)
|William Peel||Knapp-Green Garden Cemetery....|
I have a bunch of Knapp Marker Photographs from Green Garden. I have one of a
Adolph O. Knapp Jr. 06/01/1937 - 09/19/2001
Judeen A. Knapp 1936-1982
but there are no Find A Grave memorials for them. I noticed that you have created some of the other Knapps memorials. Will be creating Find A Grave memorials for these as well? Or should I just do it? Please let me know. Have a nice day.
