Gregory and Thompson and Weakley-Weakly families - Dobson, Jordan, Downs, Beckett, Downs, Eckhardt, Winchell, Anderson, Marshall, Smith, Riggs, Shride, Hawley, Parks, Roan, Thomas, Price, Sheppard - lots of connections and family names in the Moultrie & Shelby Counties. I have been working on the Gregory/Weakly family for approximately 20 years now with one very special aunt. Many names in these two families.
I have worked on the above family trees for over 55+ years on and off - in those years I worked as an executive secretary and raised two children. It takes a lot of time and effort to document all "sources" of your information. My families contribute to a large family tree. I have between 60,000-75,000 names in my family trees.
I have walked many cemeteries to find these families. I have gone to a few different counties in Illinois: Livingston, Woodford, Tazewell, Peoria, Kankakee, Ford, Macon, Sangamon, Coles, Christian, Moultrie, Champaign, Dewitt, and Shelby. Some of the counties I would not be in until summer time.
