Lots of information about our family was on the verge of being lost, so I began researching both my and my husband's extended families plus families from the small towns we both came from. |
Family connections expanded. I received much material for the Dare/Twitty/Baker family from Dare researcher M.Doris Provart Gower, who graciously agreed to my sharing with you. Darnell-Hollaway/ Holloway family got help from Evah Hollaway Lager Picard, Grace Norris Hollaway and Lee Ann Hollaway Bailleu.
The Zahn/Brand/Schneider Kukuck & Voigt family was assisted by Tali Temple Barbara, Mary Farley Cummins and David Peipho. The Steinberg/ Koerner family has research from cousins Don & Janet Dickason, Lois Steinberg Adams and Ruth Koerner McCabe.
The extended Martin/Snelling/Shupe family come from my interviews with family members and the research of Terry Harper of Albion, IL, a fellow family member.
The Witt/Hoffman/Franks family has material from Mary Ann Franks O'Neill, Eleanor Hensen Kerber and the website of John Franks.
The Gerken-Helmers (Meyer/Martens, Brandt) family is mostly mine with help of cousins Mary Ann Hill and Eunice Martens Blissard.
Other individuals added information for their extended family. Most of them are credited in their additions. St. John's Lutheran church of Anchor, IL has a public website which gave much data for my great-grandfather and those families who lived near my childhood home.
Now I can share what I've found with others and get even more accurate data. I have used the best information I have, but will gladly correct errors and add or subtract material or transfer memorials if requested by someone closer.
Happy family researching!!

From the California Death Index, 1940-1997:
Emma A. Bryant, b 21 Feb 1895 in Illinois, d 8 May 1970 in Riverside Co., California
Delmar Vernon Bryant, b 24 Dec 1901 in Illinois, d 30 Sep 1981 in Riverside Co., California
|Carolyn Wilson||RE: Ortlepps in Lyman Twp. Cemetery|
Rosetta, there is no need to transfer any of the Ortlepps to me. I am not related and don't have anything to add to your excellent bios.
We have 11 of the 12 children linked to the parents. I found Emma Ortlepp Bryant (and her husband Delmar) in the California Death Index, with both deaths in Riverside Co., CA, but there appears to be no Find A Grave memorial for either one.
OK, I will keep these Holloway memorials if you wish. If ever you would need them back, just let me know.

Sorry I don't have information on the Brandts, but yes, we are related to the Parrishes. My husband's grandmother, Emma Lillian Bourn was a sister of Lula May Bourn Parrish.
Thank you for linking the memorials!
Thank you for the correction! I am not related at all. I was just adding headstone photos for the cemetery, and I compare them as I add them. Thanks again!

|Charlene G||RE: Haddocks|
Thanks for the info...my 3 great grandparents were Haddocks living in IL. I have a picture of my 2 great grandmother whose maiden name was Haddock. I don't know much about them since she died of ovarian cancer at 42. Her name was Olive Adelia Haddock and her parents were Randall and Caroline Haddock. Is your son in law related to Randall and Caroline? Thank you, Charlene

Are you related to the Haddocks?
|Vickye Blatherwick||Mary Ann Dare Memorial|
I just checked and she is in Cubb cemetery,
memorial 15912536. Your memorial. I glad it was not lost.
Thank you for all your extra work.
I do not know what happened on my computer, I was not aware that suddenly I saw that I had sent you numerous "Edits"....it was not intentional. I have been having problems with Find A Grave being slow, but trust me, I only sent the email one time. Please accept my apology for cluttering up your email.
|Vickye Blatherwick||Perhaps this will help - Burial move|
If you will pull your memorial up
go down to
Click on the edit and Hit enter
Next page:Burial, just hit continue
When the next page comes up:
Cemetery name: clear that space and
type in CUBB
Hit search for the cemetery
The next page should have cemetery names
If you click on to the cemetery CUBB...
It should you take care of the move.
If that doesn't work for you, let me know
and we can try something else.
Thanks for your help.
