RE: Caroline Stewart #122617888 photo request in Simms Cemetery
Rick, I haven't had the chance to thank you for getting out to the cemetery and getting those photos up. It's a shame their direct descendants don't do something about Caroline's marker. Again, I really appreciate your effort.

RE: Caroline Stewart #122617888 photo request in Simms Cemetery
Rick, thank you so very much. Information on Caroline's burial came from an old cemetery inventory which can be found at:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~fljackso/cemeteries/sims.html

The inventory taker noted her grave marker is in bad shape.

The original 1956 inventory is found here:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~fljackso/cemeteries/SIMShayes.html

His comments:

Another of mine, and it was in bad shape:

John Stewart Co. E 6 FLA INF CSA

His wife--also in bad shape, and there was information written on front and back of the stone:

(Front) Born July 25, 1837 Died July 15, 1921
(Back:) Dear Mother ..Wife of Rev....John Stewart Born July 25, 1837 Died July , 192? (Blanks where we couldn't read dates).

Again, I really appreciate your effort.

Thank you!
I really appreciate you taking the time to photograph my grandparents' gravesite. I have not been to the cemetery since I was a small child.
