Bio Photo "When I go to a cemetery, I don't just see tombstones. I see families there. I see history there. I see much more than just a stone..."

I've been working on genealogy for about 10 years now. I stumbled upon this site and so impressed with the idea that I decided to volunteer and add graves as I ran across them. It saddens me to see the state of some of the graveyards I've visited, but I feel like I'm helping save part of history by photographing the stones that are still there. If I can be of any help just let me know.

"Genealogy is the art of collecting tidbits of the lives of those who came before us. And a genealogist sorts, organizes and nurtures this info for the purpose of paying it forward to a future generation's hands. The bucket is in our hands now, for a moment it's "ours", but the rest of the brigade is waiting for that pail of water to be passed to the next soul." Gerblady

if you would like a transfer of a memorial, please use the "edit" button on the memorial and state your relationship. I will gladly transfer memorials within 4 direct generations. Others I will be happy to consider. :-)

Pea family photos
I was doing some research on my PEA family and found that you have posted some photos. I am directly related to JEHU PEA son of Utica and Mary Ann Crombaugh.

If you have any you would be willing to share via email I would very much appreciate it.
thank you!

RE: Jessie Pearl Glenn
She is the Great-Great Grandmother of my wife, down through Goldie Glenn Rogders. I have an extensive family tree and have extended it over to my wife's family as well.

Ignore the previous messages I just didn't look hard enough. Spelling of the first name threw me off.

Is there a burial record for the wife or Rufus Havens, Lauretta or Laura E. Huntington Havens?

Memorial 50533344
East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, Rush County, Indiana plot section 2 indexed as Robert A. Campbell Oct 2 1814 - Sep 26 1842 however the headstone photo indicates Robert A. Matthews is this a indexing error because if in fact there is a Robert A. Campbell on the headstone he could be my 3x great grandfather. Thank you. Susan

I sent you a message via Find A Grave. In regards to Myrta (Hilligoss) Matlock. If you are not related you can transfer to me. I am kin to her, her father was not Solomon & her mother not Mary. Her parents were Ira Wesley Hilligoss and Frances Naomi Hunt. Ira was my 2nd cousin 4x removed. If you go into census you will find Myrta listed as Myrtle in one census with her father & mother and you will find that Solomon & Mary did not have a child named Myrtle or Myrta.

Thank you

RE: Violet Perkins
I will have to do a little research and try to find a map of Sunset. There are no plot markers out there. I think I have it narrowed down, but not 100%. I will try again later.

RE: Violet Perkins
I just left the cemetery office for Elwood, they have records for Sunset. She is buried in Sunset, Section 2, Lot 54, Site 3. I will go out to Sunset once I finish up in the Elwood Cemetery andake sure I didn't walk over it, since I have a location.
