Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been taking pictures of gravesites for a number of years, esp metal markers and highly carved stones As my area is rural I have done searches throughout south eastern Indiana (south of I-70 and east of I-65). Started taking pictures of others when I ran out of family members.

Whitfield memorial
Thank you for the additional info for James Whitfield's memorial. I have been working with Bill Meyers to link the family members in Aux Sable Cemetery. Seems you may be cousins?

WILLIAM WHITFIELD
Hi, Joe - I believe there's a possible relation for me with this Whitfield. My great grandfather was Cebren William Whitfield originally from Florida. He had two brothers named Alvin (Elvin) and William Whitfield. My father was named after Alvin (his middle name). The only name I have for his father is Doc or Dock Whitfield (from his Death Certificate) who I believe died in Georgia in the Civil War in 1864. Doc's wife's name was Leander Mae (Ann) Bruner. My Grandpa Whitfield is buried in China Spring, TX where my family is and Ann (his mother) would come from Florida to visit him. Can you shed any light? Thanks much, Nancy Yankie Sidarous

Usher cem
Hi Joe,
I see you have family photos of people from this cemetery. I am curious if you have any information on the Usher, Norman, or McFee families? Thanks, Jane

Joe, I don't know what memorial and cemetery you're referring to. You didn't reference them.

Angeline Philomena Whitfield Whitfield
Hello Joe,

The write-up on Angeline was very interesting. I believe her second husband (and 1st cousin), James Whitfield, was the fifth husband of my 2nd Great Grandmother, Mary Jane (nee Merys)Cook-Owens-Field-Hampton-Whitfield. James Whitfield died in Joliet in 1936 and is buried in Bureau/Greenwood Cemetery.

Mary Jane Merys Whitfield is buried in Aux Sable Cemetery, Grundy Co., near her 4th husband Alfred Hampson.

Are you a descendent of Angeline?

Regards.
