My name is Elizabeth,
I've always been interested in history and what better way to keep it alive then to tell something about the people who have lived it?

That is what I have tried to do with any entry I have made to this web site, to answer questions for others, who may be hunting for some of the people I was related to, or knew during my own life and living my own history.

RE: Your Uncle Harry
After all these yrs of being disconnected from my Carver line I finally met Harry's wife and Daughter who live in Idaho. I would have probly never met them if it werent for Ancestry.com.
It was a message I posted on Ancestry.com and his daughter contacted me. We had never even each other existed. Anyway I went to visit and his wife told me she was invited to Washington bout 7yrs ago to an army reunion which included some of the men in Harry's unit. Some were eye witnesses and told her he was shot from a patrol boat, the boat sank and Harry was never recovered. It is ashamed that his wife and children never knew for over 40 yrs.

Yes Harry is in the middle, myself on Harry's right and my younger brother Steve on his left. Harry used to stay with us and help mom with baby sitting us while she worked. Would you have any class pictures with Harry in them?

My Uncle Harry Carver
Hi Elizabeth, I'm doing research on my family history and noticed you were a friend of Harry Carver. I didnt know too much about him since I was very young. Would appreciate anything you could share about him.

Clifton B. Minnick
I have an obit for Clifton B. Minnick. Would you like a copy. Says he was KIA in Germany 1944 and that he was a tank driver.
Do you know anything else about his MINNICK family?

Joe
Hi Elizabeth
I would be honored to go to the graveyard to see my friend. I'm glad he has a stone now. I will find him. We have exceptionally cold weather here now and about 4 maybe 5 inches of snow but when the weather gets warm in the springtime, I plan to go to the graveyards and leave flowers.
Thank you for remembering me.
Love ya'
Doris

Joe's Memorial
Elizabeth, I just came across your memorial for Joe. I also have one at St Mary of the Knobs Cemetery. If you want me to, I'll be glad to transfer ownership to you.

Let me know.

I'm sorry about your loss.
Doris
