Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in northwest Washington state near the Olympic National Park. Wonderful place to grow up!

Have been retired and living in Oregon for a few years and enjoy family history. Got started because one great grandfather was a Union soldier and one was a Confederate soldier, which made me curious.

Thank you to all of the volunteers! Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated by those searching for family members.

Ada (Dibb) Gorman
Thank you for the additional information about Ada's family.
It would appear that the memorial # provided for Ada's first husband, Benjamin Franklin Bump(1874–1909), may have not have been entered correctly. If you have an update to this, I'd be more than happy to link the two of them.

RE: Philo Weed
Thank you for the reply to my query. He must have been my great-grandfather's partner then, since James Dunlop Edwards was a tinsmith. I was trying to find out more about James; I know very little about him. James' son, Charles Pliny Edwards, was also a tinsmith in Oberlin. For a while, I thought maybe he was Mr. Weed's partner, but now am sure it was Charles' father. Thank you again. Pat

Philo Weed
I noticed you left a message, at least your contributor name, at Philo Weed's memorial. Are you related to Mr. Weed? My great-grandfather, James Dunlop Edwards was in partnership with a Weed man in Oberlin, Lorain County, Ohio, where Philo Weed is from. I have been trying to find out which Weed man my great-grandfather was in partnership with. I believe they had a tin shop. Thank you for taking time to read this. Photo Request
You requested photos for Truman and Elsie Chapman in the Bayard Cemetery in Nebraska. My sister and I were able to find other Chapmans while there. We got pictures of Mattie and Ross Chapman, and Wayne and Esther. I thought I would let you know in case they would help your search. Good luck.

Thanks for the correction, read on ancestry site a few years ago that you could take dates on headstones with grain of salt and found through years that is true many times. Have made changes. Roe

RE: Benjamin Bump
You're very welcome. There is no other writing on it. It was in the correct lawn. I've never seen one with just the last name on it. So, it must be the correct one. Glad to have helped you. Sue
