Echoes of a distant past

What lies between the moments of our first breath
and when we perish.
Treasured memories of a life that is lived should
be recorded, shared and cherished.
Every joy and sorrow, every triumph and loss
each and every day.
Bears witness to a struggle that each of us
has to find meaning and purpose ,
To find a better way. Not for the ancestors passed on long ago, but for all the descendants to come.
Our life will never be lived in vain
if it lives on in the heart of someone.

I did locate a marker for Mike Wilminko at Hope Lutheran Cemetery near Floodwood, MN, today, very near the grave for Hannah Wilminko. I did not find one for Karl Wilminko, but did find one next to Hannah's for Karl O. Wiitanen with the same dates as the one you requested 1870-1942. Also added the Wilminko family members buried in Forest Hill Cemetery. | | | Penny Wood Spaziani

Hi Carylon,
I did not see a marker for Mike Wilminko, but it was a very hot day and the mosquitoes and horseflies were hungry. I have relatives (2nd-3rd cousins) buried in Hope Cemetery and somehow missed them in my quick search. It's only about 20 miles from my home so I will go back on a cooler day.
We had a particularly heavy rainfall about three weeks ago, nearly 10 inches overnight. The roads between my home (in Saginaw) and Floodwood were closed due to water across the road for several days. Hope cemetery had some damage to the road and the saturated ground allowed some markers to move a bit, bit it looks like everything is being put back to normal.
