Growing up, my grandparents lived next to a cemetery and I took many walks and bike rides through that cemetery. I find the cemetery a peaceful place to gather my thoughts and to wonder about the lives of those I pass. |
Over the past several years, I have been researching my family genealogy, and without the unlikely coincidences and kindness of strangers, I may not have been able to achieve what I have been able to. This is where F.A.G. comes in. I feel that I can possibly help others in their search, just as I have been so generously helped.
If you have any updates that you would like me to add to any of the memorials, just send me a suggestion via the edit tab and I would be happy to update it.
Will Transfer Outside Guidelines
If you want me to transfer a record, just let me know. I will be happy to transfer any record to you, with the exception of those that are in my family line.
If I have posted a memorial for one of your relatives, and you wish for me to take it down, please just let me know. I don't like taking memorials down because it may hinder the search of someone researching their family lines, but I certainly will respect your wishes.
I do transcribe cemetery directories, therefore, you will see many of my listings only have a date of death. This is all that is listed in the directory I am transcribing. If you have additional information for any entry, your help is always welcomed.

FYI CALDER Entries
Good Afternoon Shannon,
Thank you. I was the person who posted the photo and I found the place to delete the photo so I did delete the photo just now. I posted the wrong photo. Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate your help. FYI when you see either bfjkprairiesd (or)
dunsfortune, that is me entering the photos and editing the data.
The Ontario birth records for Jean Fortune Calder Campbell and her sister Elizabeth (Lizzie) Calder have been the most confusing. My Grandmother (Jean Fortune Calder Campbell's) obituary lists birth year different from the Ontario birth record. When I finish verifying information with Scotland records. I may need to edit her Birth Record. I am sharing this now so if you begin to see edits to any FORTUNE/CALDER/CAMPBELL Find a Grave you will know it is me and I have verified the records with Census Data, Border History Data, family correspondence, or onsite visits.
There are CALDER "Find a Grave" entries in Scotland. The cemetery site is POLWARTH PARISH CHURCH, Berwickshire, Scotland. I received communications from creator "Memorium" of the Polwarth Parish Church entries. She is not able to manage this site and I may add entries for this site. I visited this cemetery in 1996 and 2006 and most recently in 2016.
Jean's brother Robert Calder (the sailor) and her sister Alice Grace Hainer "Find a Grave" entries are in Florida/Escambia/St John's Cemetery. J.P. Hainer (spouse of Grace) Find a Grave entry is in Sioux Falls, Iowa, Floyd Cemetery.
You are welcome to contact me at any time.

|Řyvind Egeskog||Name misspelled?|
I'm searching for Hazel and Herman Oakwood, Sioux City, Iowa, United States.
I find the burial place of Hazel in Floyd Cemetery, but not Herman.
But in the same section: 534, lot 2 I find one with the name Henry Oakwood, died the same month and year as as Herman. Could it be that his name is misspelled?
With best regards, Řyvind Egeskog
You are correct. Anna is his first wife's mother. Sorry for the confusion. I deleted the edit. Too many irons in the fire at the same time.
Are you connected to Spies? I am by marriage. I have his first wifes memorial, but not attached to a cemetery. It should be in Iowa.
