Bio and Links
Bio Photo My mother and I have always liked to visit cemeteries. People may think it is morbid, but we like looking at old graves and imagining their resident's lives. My fiancee works at a Genealogy library and told me about this site and that they use photo volunteers. I just had to come.

Update: Now I am having so much fun finding and linking family members. It's like giving them a place.

Our family goal is to find who my great-great grandfather was staying with when he was shot and buried in a field. William Andrew "Taylor" Wilson. It was 1913 outside of Grady, Ok. In Jefferson Parish. We have been searching for about 20 years. If anyone has old family stories involving a shooting and burial in a field in this area, please let me know. The story goes he was shot by the sheriff over the sheriff's wife. Never reported in news at the time that we can find and no death certificate. We would really like to know his final resting place.

Dont give up
Dont give up finding the info about your ggrandfather! You should read my grandmother, Sylvis Potts, who is buried in Oklahoma. Not long after I joined Find A Grave a genelogist sent me a copy of the newspaper article. Not long ago I heard from a woman who had information I never thought I would find. My grandfather's mother died when his baby brother was born. My ggrandfather remarried then died. I wanted to know the name of the angel who took 3 children and raised them as her own back when times were incredibly hard! Then someone went to the cemetery where my ggrandparents are buried and took photos of their headstones! Amazing because they were buried in the early 1900's.

As much as you can let contributors know you are searching!

RE: Bryant Harrington
Sorry to not reply for a long time. I need to check my profile more.I will see about doing the connections tommorow when i have a little time, and I have no problem transfering Bryant Harrington to you. As for the Birches being buried there I am unsure but have heard that there were more people there but no markers are present,as due to the location vandalism was very possible over the years. On a side note I have seen some pictures of the Birches that were passsed down through the family but dont know if i could get a hold of them as my cousin in Washington has had them since my aunt died.

No I'm not related, but just grew up in Irving and have known about the Estelle Cemetery since I was very young. It was out in the country way back then and we used to hunt and explore in the woods and around the ruins that were there. I was always curious about the family that was buried there and found out about them in Irving's Historical archives.
