Note: I do not post obits on memorials I manage-
period! If a memorial is transferred to me and it
already has an obit, it is left on, as I try only to add to a transferred memorial.

Regarding transfers:
I believe that relatives and friends should have any
memorials I maintain transferred to them, regardless
of what the guidelines are. Of course if I am a closer relative, the memorial will not be transferred. If I am a more close friend, it will not be
transferred. If the memorial is of a close friend of mine, and the requester is a distant relative, I might not transfer. Please, please use the edit tab on the memorial you wish transferred to you.
Also, I may ask for some proof of any claims of your relationship or friendship. You'll never know if I will transfer a memorial unless you ask.

RE: Aunt Jul
Howdy...no biggie about not posting the obit. A transfer isn't necessarily. I'm not good about keeping up with stuff. I ran across this site and my curiosity was peaked. Btw..my mom is Bette.

Charles E Shelton Jr of Hardin Co
Charles E Shelton
Hello, I'm a little late in the game but was hoping somebody could help me get started.

My mom (Sissy)-deceased 9/2003-was one of three children (Charlie and Kenny)to Charles E Shelton and Elnora Sanders. I'm not seeing any Shelton information and thought maybe one of you may know.

I remember visiting on Hill Street where my Grandpa lived next to his sister, Elizabeth Curry. My mom would spend the day visiting with her grandma whose names was Mattie. I remember a lady who I believe was my mom's aunt, and her name was something like Willamae, Willowmae, I can't remember much more other than there were alot of Shelton's on Hill Street in Elizabethtown.

I see my grandpa is not listed as a child of Charles Shelton and Mattie Rissler Shelton, and there lies my confusion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Mary Tate
I have Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Tape) TATE in 1880 and 1910 census, numerous Louisville directories that list her as the widow of Albert TATE

Her son, William J TATE's death cert lists his mother as Elizabeth TAPE (typed).
1880 Lizzie TATE with son
1910 Mary E TATE(again with son and widowed
Death cert Mary E TATE--father: Fred TAPE

John William Stevenson
Going to transfer the memorial over to you. I'm no relation to John William Stevenson or his wife. I noticed that Beth Haven Cemetery only had less than 60. I walked the cemetery for 3 days and I think I got headstone pictures of the entire graveyard.

RE: Hess
Hi Kenny! Your George and my George are definitely connected through Manz sisters. I just don't know blood wise how they are related yet.
I built the HESS research tree and am branching it out quite far. There were actually at least 4 George Hess' in Louisville. My George was also a Cabinet maker. I think they all were in wood working of some sort. I don't know if he is a cousin, nephew or what to your George yet. There def is relation. I have my dna on ancestry hoping to find more cousin matches that may eventually help connect all the dots. I do have a lot of dna connected cousins on our Hess branch but no one so far to the others. If it's better to write via email instead of here, my email is N2SweetRock@yahoo.com I would love more connections. My cousin and I have been trying to break this Hess wall down for many years now. This is the first time I've had a major break in it and at least connected them. Are you by chance on ancestry? Have you done dna? Or has anyone in your family done the dna?
