RE: Lee Izard
Sarah Ann Elizabeth Moran was married to George Henry Izard, son of John G Izard and Rhoda Higgins. Is this the Ann you are talking about?

RE: Charles and Jane Norman
Woohoo! Glad we got that date cleared up!

Brotherhood of Man is where I got my start tracing the Reid family about 20-25 years ago. It's amazing how many tangles I've found with them since then!

Edith Jane seems to be the most consistent name. She was the 11th of 13 children. She is listed as Edith, age 6, on the 1850 Carroll Co GA census. Her father died between October 26th 1851 when he wrote his will and April 5th 1852 when it was recorded in open court in Haralson Co GA. Haralson Co GA, Will Bk A, p 11. Two of my ancestors were witnesses... Matthew Reid & Edward Stanford. Edward was the husband of Catherine "Katie" Reid.

I haven't done much digging on Jane Golden Reid. According to BOM, her father was Nathan Lee Golden. I'll look around and see what more I can find while you are on your trip.

RE: Charles and Jane Norman
If she died after him, then the date is surely wrong. I'm thinking it's just a typo and the year is either 84 or 94. She is listed in the 1880 Cleburne Co AL census as age 74 with daughters, Jane C, 54, and Ann, 40. Also in the hh is granddaughter, Martha M Liner, dau of Lucinda Norman Liner.

Jane is the older sister to my ancestor, Matthew Reid. His memorial # is 102362613. I descend from his son, George F (# 36764838) who married Martha E Stanford. Her mother was Catherine "Katie" Reid Stanford, memorial # 99769181. If you have time to click around, I've posted a good many Reid family photos. They ended up at the home of my gg-grandparents, Columbus Newton & Nancy Arrie (Reid) Hendrix in Cullman Co AL.

William Henry Norman's wife was Edith Reid, daughter of Reuben & Jane (Golden) Reid, right? I guess your husband and I are at least double cousins!
